Tom Broadbent signs for Eastleigh. Cracking signing that. I’d have kept him at the CG.

Ethan Ross has signed for us. Keeper who was on loan at Weymouth last year. Weymouth were our kryptonite last season so he probably impressed against us. Don't know how far he will push Hinchliffe, hopefully quite well. Hinchliffe been great for us but can let some soft goals from long distance shots. Like the one in the Play off semi.
You don’t sign a long-term contract to sit on the bench. I think he’ll be between the sticks on opening day. Harsh on Ben but pea rollers into the corners from 20 yards are his kryptonite and like you say it cost us in the playoffs.

Played very well against us in the penultimate game of the season which we won 3-0, but he prevented a cricket score

I rated him against us. He slipped costing them a goal but that was a fluke, he's a big lad but he's springy, we should have signed him as competition for Slocombe.

We've signed Taylor Curran from Swindon

The replies to the announcement on Twitter certainly make for interesting reading........Swindon fans really seem to hate him.

Heard through a few circles that the problem with Taylor Curran is he dominates at the mobile phone video game "Words With Friends 2" and becomes a bit of a dressing room nightmare about it. You may have heard about Pierce Sweeney leaving Exeter to join Swindon and then leaving Swindon to rejoin Exeter all in the space of a few weeks, which is believed to involve Words With Friends 2 disputes. Scrabble-esque simulators often devolve into intense debate, especially in dressing rooms. I know that Gary Johnson banned it at Torquay and that might be a strong reason why Ben "Triple Word" Whitfield left. Curran is a known quantity. He will ruthlessly chain four-word combos, utilising "J" and "Z" in a devastating manner (those are each worth 10 points in the game, do the maths). Hopefully Hakan Hayrettin knows what he's getting himself into with this lad.

We've signed Adam Crookes, left back from Port Vale.

Does the basics ok, distribution can be a bit wayward. Do think his best position is left side of 3 centre backs rather than fullback though.

Did think he was one we might have kept as did well under DC but then got injured against Bolton and never got another look in. Hope he does well.

Was decent for us the first year we had him under Nolan and made the League Two play-offs, pretty bad the second year we had him and we got relegated.

Not sure what he’s done since, but in my view he’s one of those lower leagues centre halves there’s loads of knocking about. Will win headers and be fine in a simple, deep set up. Ask him to do much more than that and he’ll struggle.

Pretty much as described above from his time at Vale. Solid, honest professional and gets his head on everything. Very limited otherwise in terms of with the ball at his feet and does get exposed by anyone with pace but that’s the case of many defenders in the lower leagues.

He’s the kind of player that could easily be part of a good team at this level, but equally if he’d just signed for King’s Lynn or Maidenhead or someone then I’d have been like ‘fine, makes sense’.

That sounds exactly like Shaun Pearson.

Does he deliver for any local gastropubs as well?

I think they probably dispel the idea that Wrexham’s budget is going to blow Notts/Stockport and any other big spenders away. Unless you’re going to step it up significantly.

When he was on loan with us he never played up front. We played him on the wing and he was brilliant. He never scored but got loads of assists. Personally think that's a great signing for you guys but don't expect him to hit 20 goals for you.

Bromley sign Barnet's young player of the year Sam Skeffington. Very disappointed that we seemingly didn't offer him anything.

its only the start. we need another 2 CB minimum, 2 or 3 midfielders then depending what formation Parky plays Wingers and another Striker

He's getting a ton of stick on twitter from people who have never seen him play.

Whoppers.
