I do partially agree with Urban. I expect KMB will want to show everyone what we have lost. Can easily see him getting noticed by bigger clubs again but struggling to get a move because of his history. He only ended up with us because of his past and sadly I feel he will be further frustrated by the damage he has done to his career off the pitch over the years.
I wish him all the best and hope he takes full advantage of this new start.

This is from FGR's Facebook, I assume it's a joke

Forest Green Rovers have signed one of the most exciting young players in football after Keanu Marsh-Brown agreed a transfer from last years Conference champions Barnet for an undisclosed fee.

When he's in the mood, he is a very exciting player to watch and as stated before, he has the talent to play at League 1 or higher. However, successful football players aren't just about their talent.

Charlie MacDonald signs for Boreham Wood then.

Very good signing for them I feel, experienced head at this level and above. Surprised one of the other London-ish based teams didn't have a go for him (Woking, Welling etc.) - have Boreham Wood got much money about them? I guess they have with the crowds they get, but I don't hear about it as much as I do Barrow and other teams.

Yes, that is maybe going slightly over the top, although it probably meant in lower league/non-league football rather then in the whole country.

I really hope he can get his head right and produce the goods, as going on what Barnet fans have said if he does he could make a real difference to our promotion chances.

B'wood have some money but that's more due to them having lots of income streams than anything else.
I was slightly disappointed that we decided to let Charlie go as he contributed a lot to our success both on and off the pitch. I reckon that's a good signing for them.

This is how a lot of players end up in the Conference, however the important thing for him is that he finds a team and manager who can unlock his potential and allow him to progress. He is still young in footballing terms, so plenty of time to grow up and turn things around. Judging by your comments, and those of other Barnet fans, he will need to do this if he is to achieve his ambitions. Sometimes there are players with a bit of a chequered history who just find a club where they fit in and it works. I suspect that if he wasn't going to get on with the rest of the squad it would have been discovered while they were in Northern Ireland, there are one or two who would probably not tolerate an idiot in their midst, if that had happened I presume he wouldn't have been offered a contract.

Feedback seems decent about Howe so pleased as I can be about that without having seen him play. Sounds as though CM tried to sign him last season as well.

That'll probably push Nat Brown down to back-up CB now, which is good IMO. He's not a complete liability but there's just, and always has been, something un-nerving about him.

Yeah that's definitely true, we've got a lot of tough characters in the squad, including a few ex-cons, who wouldn't be likely to put up with a poor attitude from anyone.

Howe and Waterfall (without seeing them and if first choice) will at least on paper be one of the better CH pairings I would have thought. Awaiting people to shout me down and say otherwise!?

Wouldn't have thought so.

Still maintain that a big part of our downfall from a defensive point of view in recent seasons has been the midfield. Not many instances where we've been solid. Our home defence under Simpson in our first season is as good as it got (which was very good to be fair).

Why does that not surprise me. The bloke's a tool. Him and 'Brabs' are the kind of characters to get on really well though.

You should see what he's just tweeted about KMB. Described him as 'a disgrace of a human being'

James Norwood ‏@norwood_20 15 mins15 minutes ago

So
@FGRFC_Official have signed someone who is a liar and a thief ?! Been released from two clubs for stealing

Not sure why Nors feels the need to make statements like that tbh, he could get himself in trouble making allegations like this.

I like Nors but he really needs to stfu. Making spats like this public doesn't do anyone any good.

Stockport County.
Odejayi and Bell Baggie will hopefully strike something up for us next year. It sounds like they have the potential too.

Sam, WNM, etc..what doe we need now then you reckon? Looking at the names and positions we've brought in, I'd say a centre half or two, a physical defensive midfielder and another striker who can play with the likes of Odjejayi or Colley and score some goals.

Pleased with the Howe signing. Felt we needed another centre half, not keen on Bush there myself.

Just a forward needed now. Assume the plan for wingers has been scrapped.

Stockport have signed Kayode Odejayi

Kay was great for us, it's hard to believe it was 12 years ago! I've still got a mug with his shirt on it. Should be a massive threat at Conference North level, an absolute beast when he's in the mood, which unfortunately is rarely the case these days.

Anyone remember him terrorising Terry and Carvalho when Barnsley knocked Chelsea out of the FA Cup in the quarter finals 07/08? Played like Drogba that day.

Our sixth signing is confirmed as Clff Moyo who has impressed during a trial.

Looked a promising player in the few games he had for Barrow. Think he's been a student in the Manchester area up until now, and been playing for university teams. Once took a throw-in in pre-season that went vertically up and landed on his own back...
Better as a right back, getting forward with pace and strength, rather than at centre back where his positioning was massively lacking.
Very popular guy, and there'll be still Barrow fans looking out for him.

Excited about Grimes, just because on paper he's our signing of the summer.

Interesting Thank you. He has really impressed during pre season so far but I see where you coming from with him being caught out of position.

As someone put on our messgeboard:
Post tweets > Bollocked by Brabin > Delete tweets. I cannot verify that's what happened, but it certainly wouldn't surprise me.

Think its more likely he realised what an idiot he was from all the responses rather than a bollocking

That would require some form of intelligence and self awareness and he's lacking in both departments!
