Can't help you there. Think Fanimo's Tranmere career amounted to 20 minutes as a sub at Carlisle.

Eastleigh have signed Matthias Fanimo ex West Ham, Tranmere loanee and regular England Youth international.

Hailed as the fastest player in the world when he signed for Tranmere on loan from West Ham amidst a lot of local media hype last season. Came on once as a sub for 10 minutes at Carlisle.
In fact he was so fast no one at Prenton park even seen him.

David Stephens to Boreham Wood confirmed. Another good signing for, now all they need is a manager who knows what he's doing.

This is getting ridiculous. I really wana know their budget.

I don't normally post obscure random transfer news, but this is the exceptions... Grays Athletic have added a 16 year old to the reserves. His first name is 'Praise the Lord'...

http://www.graysathletic.co.uk/news/blues-add-praise-the-lord-to-the-reserve-squad-1510919.html

People on our forum are convinced they're paying average wages and that all these signings are down to catchment area and contacts, which sounds implausible to me.

Im surprised how poorly Clarke has done for you. I honestly thought he'd do ok.
It's frustrating as he always looked alright for you. Though I assume he wouldn't have been the 'leader' in your midfield alongside Keates and Harris and he seems to have failed to step up to that role here. Our 18 year old academy graduate Luke Maxwell has been carrying him and covering for his errors all season.

Boreham Wood are in the market for players as they have gone full time recently and Stephens is in need of a club as we have stopped paying him and released his registration. His move there makes sense under those circumstances. With the exception of Scott Doe, I'm not sure they are signing players that would be on, or command, decent wages.

Yeah he had Keates and Harris doing the fetching and carrying. I always felt he was best playing further forward because if he was expected to be a defensive midfielder or even worse, a playmaker, then he struggled as his passing isn't the best. To be fair he was good in 12/13, had patches of ok performances in 13/14 and was poor last year.

Least we got you back for giving us Storer last season.

I'm sure both us and Cheltenham fans would disagree that Storer is poor

Surely we must have players coming in??
Can Hawkridge play for us in the cup next week?
Nat is a Yorkshire lad too.
Good servant for us but plays like all of his 34 years now.

Well if yesterday's debut performance is anything to go by this is a cracking signing! Good pair of feet and useful in the air too. Head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch yesterday. Looks league 1 quality at least to me.

Never rated him when he's played against us. Must have done something right to be in the Luton team every week when they won the league mind. A good signing but think he can get found out.

Never thought I'd be so happy to see us sign two aging, overweight players!

We have signed James Dayton on a free transfer after he was released by Oldham in the summer.

He's a winger who can play on both sides. I know nothing else about him.

McNulty, another good solid (in more ways than one!) signing. Made the PFA team of the year in League 2 last year, and Luton fans seem gutted to be losing him.

We're going to take some flack from the oppo fans with GTF and McNulty in the same squad though... :bg:

People will take the piss out of Sumo but he is a very good centre half.

He has obvious deficiencies in his game, but to be honest I doubt there are too many at this level who will be able to exploit them, he was still holding his own in a league above. People often think you can put any old pacey forward up against him and they'll murder him but it isn't the case. His reading of the game is so superior to many at this level he can get himself out of trouble more often than not, even against the quickest of forwards. Also technically better than a lot of people give him credit for, loves a little Cruyff turn!

He has had a little drop off recently but still a very solid centre half, sad to see him go really.

How he manages to play 90 mins i will never know but to be fair whenever I've seen him he's just strolled through games due to his positional sense. He's clever enough not to get himself stuck one on one with a forward and is great at covering in behind his partners. Two great signings for Tranmere in the last few days.
