We are playing next Wednesday, the same night our youngsters are playing in the Devon Bowl.
I'll be at the latter

County at Swindon on Tuesday, a point will see us through. Lose other than on penalties and it's Arsenal.
We’re already through so hopefully we put out even more young ‘uns.

Oh god are we through in this? Only positive is the chance to give the squad a proper flex. Give Dabre 90, I'd like to see what Cowmeadow can do as well, he came on against Plymouth and looks a big lad. Usually our youths are built like Walter the Softie from the Beano.

Yeah. Thanks to Plymouth and the Arse drawing and Muff winning the shootout.

There’s some great names in our youth squad.

Cowmeadow and, my favourite, Taank.

Because of our fucked up pre-season these are now familiar names. Those are the best 2 those, by some distance!!

Is Cowmeadow seriously his name? That's excellent. He really ought to be playing for us.

Well we used to have Steve Cowe (ex Swindon as well), remember we used to moo when his name got announced. Not quite as good as Cowmeadow though.

Few years back I wanted us to sign Danny Forrest, first because he often scored against us but also because we had Paul Green on our books at the time. Would have been like when Hartley & Poole both played for and scored for Hartlepool in the same game.

Tranmere who have already qualified for the next round host Oldham tonight, who have to win by 3 clear goals to finish top of the group. A draw will see Oldham through.
Would imagine both teams will field as close to reserve teams as they can.
Not going myself, but may tune into Ifollow if it’s available.

Home to Charlton, both of us through. Winner gets home tie in next round, both sides likely to make various changes. Would be nice to win but won't be losing any sleep over this one at all.

The only cup we’re still in. Even out of the Glos Senior Cup.

Hopefully we’ll be out of this joke competition tomorrow evening as well. Just have to make sure we don’t beat Walsall.

They asked for 1,000 tickets. Should see the crowd around 1500 if they sell them. It is on ifollow.

We play Doncaster again tonight after playing them Saturday.

We can only qualify if we win 5-0, we've only scored 11 goals this season so gotta say it's not likely.

We're playing Leicester's youth team reserves tonight - think we've already knocked ourselves out of this nonsense, so it will be interesting to see how many people bother. Hope Cooper sticks our third choice keeper on the wing again, just to hammer home how pointless it is.

We need to beat Bristol Rovers to go through, in normal time or on penalties. Likewise, they need to beat us in normal time or penalties. Cheltenham are already out and Chelsea kiddies are already through, so it could be an entertaining game, as far as pizza cup competitions go

Liverpool tonight, with Bolton group winners and Rochdale playing all their games anything other than a loss puts us through, a loss puts Dale through and a 7-0 loss puts Liverpool through.

These have been panned nearly every time they've played in this cup and we did them 4-2 in a game we could of had 7 or 8 last season so hopefully another win and a Vale Park record from 1993 hit with 7 wins on the spin at home.

We've the squad to make big changes so expect Benning, Stone, Martin, Legge, Brad Walker, Ben Garrity, Jake Taylor, Lloyd, and Amos to come in.

Sunderland away - They’re in dire form and were embarrassed by Mansfield at the weekend. I think they might field a stronger first XI than usual this evening.

I honestly couldn’t give a flying shite whether we got dicked 5-0 or if we did the dicking - the sooner we’re out, the better.

Pre-sold 100 tickets - would you fucking dare!

I think Sunderland annoyingly give this competition way more respect than it deserves by usually naming a very strong team in any case.

As said earlier I’d rather we just find a way to throw the game tonight and exit the tournament. It only serves to increase risk to injuries as you go into the new year.

The money is quite generous though isn't it for progressing?

Chance to get minutes into some players, that's about all it's worth for us. I don't even know the permutations of various results. Mike Jones apparently will be making his first appearance for over a year.

Yeah I suppose the prize money factor is there. Think it’s something like £10k for a win in terms of the group stage but by the time you factor in overheads from putting the game on and very minimal money at the gate I’m not sure it’s as good as it sounds in all honesty. For me the value in keeping midweeks free as much as possible and reducing injury risk is far greater.

Group Stage - £10,000 for a win, £5,000 for a draw
Round Two - £20,000 for a win
Round Three - £40,000 for a win
Quarter Final - £50,000 for a win
Runner-up - £50,000
Winner - £100,000

So the winner pockets £270,000 in prize money plus gate receipts etc.

First round win in the FA Cup £22,000

I agree re injuries. But the money Dan has just posted above isn't to be sniffed at. Could help massively in the January transfer window. It's a tricky one. Thankfully fixtures aren't too hectic this year compared to last, as well

It’s a derby match for us tonight against Wimbledon. Despite how close Sutton and Wimbledon are geographically matches between the two are very rare, we’ve only been in the same division as them once since World War 2, despite the extensive non-histories of both clubs. Since Wimbledon’s enforced demotion in 2002 we’ve only played them 4 times competitively and two of those were in the Surrey Senior Cup, which only counts to die hard romantics, and the other two times were in a 3rd round FA Cup tie in 2017 which went to a replay.

Avoid defeat and we’re group winners, whatever that means. However the most important thing is local bragging rights as we need to start a new local rivalry with someone now I guess.

I want us to keep winning to be honest including this as it keeps momentum going and its not like we haven't got the squad to rotate and they need minutes, we are putting on friendlies to give minutes so better in this for me.

Plus we've beaten every B Team we've played in this since they started entering and want to keep that going.

Don’t you also get £20,000 for just entering the competition ?

Hope you smash them. U21 sides have no place in this and the more often they get their arses handed to them on a plate the more pointless their participation will look.

If top clubs didn’t stockpile loads of players that they never use they wouldn’t need all these games to get them ‘experience’.

Fringe squad/youngsters make up our starting XI this evening. By all accounts, Sunderland have named a strong side.

This could be a cricket score, but it’ll mean fuck all - we’re already out.
