We’re playing Newport. Trying the formation containing no CBs at all! Never heard of any of those on the bench. McKirdy starting is a surprise, but he’ll miss our next league game Saturday week by being suspended so it’s a run out I suppose.

Looking forward to seeing Dabre, our midget midfielder cum winger. Loved him in the 2 previous matches.

It seems like Oldham’s first team against our reserves tonight.

2-0 up at the moment. Got the game on iFollow as nothing else worth watching tonight. Vale not exactly extending ourselves but still more than enough. One player who is standing out from them is Kaide Gordon, that’s one for our recruitment team on loan in future.

Got a right clown in charge at the county ground! just gave a penalty to swindon then looked up in the air and overuled himself and gave a drop ball to us.

Another goal from our new goal scoring machine, Theo Robinson, warmly up nicely for his return to Vale Park on Saturday. 2 from 2 starts now, plus the 1 at Swindon off the bench

Cruising in first gear against Liverpool kids. They’re good on the ball but about 7 stone lads.

Dennis the menace causing them all sorts of problems.

That was a hoot, right enough. That would have been the worst penalty decision ever given.

Watching the game on my dodgy firestick (wouldn’t dream of paying a tenner)! Tell you what, I don’t know exactly how strong that Sunderland team is, but they’re dogshit!

Decent 45 from our fringe lot. Theo with another goal, too. What a player! Never doubted him.

Jake Taylor to be fair has looked really good again tonight albeit against not great opponents. Pett and Conlon are automatic choices but I think especially at VP I’d be wanting Jake in that third spot.

Nice to see Leon Legge make a return too.

I'm not sure what those Liverpool kids can really take from that. We walloped them without even really having to try. They seemed to have some obsession with trying to play it out from the back but kept getting caught out.

For us minutes in the legs for a few like Walker and Johnson I suppose was a benefit in addition to Jakes performance.

An easy run and another mark in the progress of assisting the future England team!

Good run out and great to see Leggey on the pitch again.

17 goals in 4 games is ridiculous!

We’re still surfing the Power Out wave, I think.

Looked game over when Oldham went 2 goals to the good. Credit to the Tranmere lads for fighting their way back into it. Largely a scrappy affair with some good passages of play. Bahamboula best player on the pitch again.
Both teams through I think.

Well we finally won a game in this competition (sort of)

Drew 1-1 with Sunderland and won on penalties. Deserved result. Sunderland were gash.

Good for Cooke and Angol to get some minutes after injury and both played well. Robinson with another goal which is only another positive.

Same as most U21 sides we’ve played, good on the ball but zero nous or physical ability against the power of league footballers.

Everyone is taught to be Man City as a kid these days.

The winger Gordon and the polish lad looked decent mind.

They didn’t fancy defending Leggey at that corner when he first came on

Sounds like absolutely nothing has happened, we have our 2nd XI out apart from Hutton.
