Tricky one, wanted Crewe but we were split from the draw.

I don't know if they televise this round but if they do I would say we are favourites

There’s a potential clash of fixtures for Sutton’s 2nd round tie v Stevenage, as it’s due to be played the same week as our Surrey Senior Cup tie against Sheerwater.

I would be annoyed if this highly anticipated fixture against such prestigious opponents is put back due to an EFL Trophy game against Stevenage

We played our Devon Bowl match on the same day as the trophy game, we just played it at a neutral ground..

Meh this competition can do one. I would name Stone, Legge and Burgess as they need minutes and wrap everyone else up in cotton wool. Far more important games in quick succession than this one.

Toughest tie we could of got really and with a bit of an injury crisis we could do without it in the circumstances!

Not sure how seriously they take it, if they play their full XI against a relatively second string Vale it will be a beating I imagine.

Stone

Legge

Conlon

Rodney (assuming LLoyd is out)

Despite winning our group, we've got the toughest draw we could've got. MK have been going very well and have a strong squad.

If Jackett decides to play our fringe attacking/midfield players then we will do well to take the game to pens, we don't really have the attacking and midfield squad depth to push a decent League One side, the game will likely be used to give certain players more than anything else. Won't be losing any sleep if we lose.

Looks like ourselves and Lincoln are properly full strengthing this one. Dunno about Lincoln but think Millen wants us to try and build up some momentum with wins where we can get them, like tonight. Sees this and the FA Cup game as chances to get wins on the board for morale and to get the players used to winning.

Add to our exotically named youngsters Cowmeadow and Taank, we now have Bunch in tonight's Matchday squad

Solid enough first half, had to work hard but had a great chance with Smith. Good to get minutes into some of the lads too.

Walsall will be kicking themselves with the misses they’ve had. Hayden White lucky to still be on the pitch with a horrible tackle on Lankester.

1-0 Rotherham. Decent bit of quality from them.

Against the run of play though as we were on top at the beginning of the second half. Politic and Conlon had shots saved and Rodney has just missed a sitter.

We've just made 4 subs in one go.

Entire team changed from Saturday and got a bit of a battering from virtually Colchester’s 1st XI first half. Managed to squeeze 1 in before half time but Colchester 1-2 up. Don’t think our youngsters are covering themselves in glory - especially at the back.

First penalty in the shootout and Jon Mellish blasts it against the bar.

Mellish doing Mellish things I guess... Lincoln did then just sky their next one.

Deserved draw, if we had our strikers fit we’d have won that 5-2 with the chances we’ve had. They bring on their big guns whilst ours are either injured or on their PlayStations tonight so can’t fault the lads who’ve come in.

Another forward out though with Politic limping off.

Lost on pens, frustrating has had enough chances to win that in normal time easy enough but a great effort against a side top of the league above.

Not for us - we made 5 changes from the weekend and have the spine of the team out injured at the minute.

First goal in 3 tonight for us, and we've only kept two clean sheets all season!

We bow out losing on pens having not conceded a goal in the competition.

Put in a decent performance against a side a league higher, only thing that really let us down was our inexperience up front - a few times a few too many wrong decisions were made.

Draw probably about right overall, although I thought we had the better chances to win it especially at the end.

Shout out to MK's Troy Parrott who clearly didn't want to play in the next round and was sent off for a headbutt in the 90th minute. Won't be losing sleep over this, our squad isn't big or good enough to fight on two fronts.
