You've just openly admitted you have no conviction, it's people like you that hold this country back. A man that doesn't have the courage of his convictions isn't a man at all. Always go for what you believe in (firmly believe in if we're using your words), otherwise you will never make progress or achieve anything of importance. You resonate pure cowardice my friend. Fight for your firm beliefs, don't stay a coward.

No I think you misunderstand me. It's easy to have a blind opinion and not take the time to actually learn about the subject that you are fighting for and come up with a true alternative that people can get behind and belive in. I live and breath the things that are important to me and take time to learn about alternative practical approaches to actually force those changes through. I've happily gone out of my way and put my liberty at risk for causes that I believe in so your use of the word coward just bounces off me.

There's much more to being an activist than typing crap on a forum or social media mate.

Don't let the fact I'm in Manchester get in the way of your atrocious jokes.

It's not a joke.

Finance Minister Jane Hutt said:

“Superfast Cymru, a partnership between the Welsh Government and BT, is taking fibre broadband to parts of Wales not covered by commercial plans. It will transform the broadband landscape across our country, ensuring we are at the forefront of the global digital economy in Europe

“European investment has been absolutely crucial in enabling us to deliver this major project, and it means that by the end of spring 2016, 96% of premises in Wales will have access fast fibre broadband.”

This is why I feel so utterly ashamed. Imo to many (most?) voters this wasn't a referendum on the EU, but on immigration. There are plenty of intellectual arguments against the EU but they were barely heard and certainly not shrieked as loudly as than the anti-immigration stuff. The campaign and result has made many of my EU friends in the UK - political activists from Sweden, family support volunteers from Romania, hoteliers from Latvia - genuinely feel like they are not welcome in my country.

I've been away since Monday and am flying back tomorrow. I feel like the country I left is not the one I'm flying back to.

Yes, indeed. I've been trying to figure out quite why I've felt so deflated since the early hours of Friday. In part I think it's concern about the economic and political turmoil we may have to endure but I think the uncertainty extends beyond that. We know it has its imperfections but I've always essentially believed that Britain is a relatively tolerant country. I'd like to think that still holds true but I really am less sure of that than I've ever been.

I'm only using your words. I don't know about you but I only base my firm beliefs on extensive research, a weighing up of the pro's & cons, ramification and consequence of said action. Just accept you were chatting shit and I'll make sure you don't get banged.

Hate the use of the word tolerant, especially by rosey liberal types. The mere use of the word tolerant suggests there is a problem in the first place which kinda defeats their argument and general cuntyness.

I will take issue with the use of the word coward though by asking you what you've actually done in the last 12 months to further any cause you believe beyond chatting rubbish on a forum.

A firm belief should only be drawn from taking the time to "learn about the subject" in which your firm belief is based. Therefor you've contradicted yourself GEEZA.

And worry about yourself seeing as you've openly admitted to being a coward. FWIW I've mooched the streets helping our vulnerable homeless and taken the time to listen and attempt to provide advice & help to their situation. I don't do things to boost my own sense of self-importance though. It's inbuilt into my being to help those in a lesser state, it's just what being a human being should be about. Therefor I don't feel the need to make it known on social media or forums unless the only solution to the problem requires it.

He may well be soon enough. Unfortunately UKIP are cashing in on alienated Labour voters (which is fucking bizarre to me personally) as an alternative to the Tories.

Ironically, to me.. if that were the case all it does is split the opposition vote and makes the Tories stronger.

I'm still not understanding the first paragraph as that is what I've been saying all along. I guess we're talking in completely different languages or I am simply to tired to understand it.

It's only you who has used the word coward and I utterly reject that personal attack but I expect most people aren't interested in reading this dispute further.

I applaud your work with the homeless. Keep it up.

Talking about cowardly actions is interesting. I'm getting the feeling the UK is going to bottle leaving the EU altogether now.

What a great piece of TV, and he is so correct, I forgot about ERM and the aftershock, the pound and stock markets crashing to an all time low .......... but 6 months later they were on par to where they were before the crash

Why?...........Because his opinion, do'sent fit into your personal opinion
Don't worry about him. He displays all the qualities of a fascist, best to leave him spinning in the cloud of anger that pollutes his mind.

Well the Brexiters had done it
The referendum, they had won it
With Boris Johnson laughing all the while
And Cameron's resignation made us smile
While Farage still spouted all his racist bile

We're talking Brexit
From Scotland down to England
Talking Brexit, Wales and Ireland
Iain Duncan Smith and his Tory Peers
UKIP and their Immigration sneers
We're talking Brexit, Europe and tears

At the very least, it's odd... and the delay until October to see what is actually happening is likely to trigger significant unrest as the days and weeks slip by between now and then. Interesting times ahead.

Cross posting from other message board:

The UK has been increasingly free of European socialism over the last five years, and the result is a lack of job security, dismal wages, increasing costs, practically nonexistent welfare, people literally starving to death, and a general feeling of hopelessness and disenfranchisement. The right wing has been very successful in claiming that this is all down to immigration, but in fact it's been a deliberate policy by the government and would be happening regardless of the status of immigrants. In fact the government is actively recruiting for the NHS from countries where wages are very low, in order to drive down costs and replace British workers with East European and South Asian ones. That's going to continue regardless of Brexit, and the Brexit leaders have already admitted as much.

In the meantime there are reports from all over the place about international companies getting ready to move out of the UK because they need an EU presence so will be setting up their headquarters elsewhere in Europe. The pain in the UK is likely to go on for a very long time for most people. And the experience of living under a right-wing government with fewer and fewer safety nets and more and more work for less and less money will hardly add up to anyone feeling that they're lucky.

I don't know about you lads, but I hopelessly don't know where my next meal is coming from either. Putting serious consideration into eating the dog

I find it slightly worrying in that video that the most optimistic he is about our GDP falling is that it only falls by 1%. That's no small number.

Time will only tell if long term we bounce to levels higher than were predicted before.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Me, too. The failure to trigger Article 50 (is Cameron leaving this to his successor?) seems hugely significant. It may be a deliberate delaying tactic and part of a detailed contingency plan, but what is the plan?

See my post earlier in the thread. Its putting the responsibility of pulling the trigger in the hands of those who campaigned.

Mr Osborne said the referendum result was "not the outcome that I wanted", but added: "The British people have given us their instructions."

He also appeared to rule out resigning in the near future, saying that the UK needed to negotiate its exit from the EU with its "European partners and allies".

"I intend to play an active part in that debate," he said.

Unlike his lord and master, it would appear Gideon has no intention of going anywhere.

About two years worth of EU contributions... Best case.

Boris Johnson: Pound has stabalised.

Reality: Markets open and the pound beats Friday's low point. Predicted to be £1 - $1.2x in the near future.

Recession seems more and more likely. Cheers leaving lads.
