Weren't you the chap who voted out to get rid of the foreigners?

How's that working out?
Bit early to tell, and if you read my previous postings, I didn't say boot all foreigners out, I suggested that we limit the numbers coming in. I would be shooting myself in the foot anyway, considering the nationality of the surgeon who has operated on me, half a dozen times.

Shame your body seems to have rejected the brain they tried to implant.

Seems to have been by far the best couple of days on the financial markets since the vote, presumably down to the clarification of the PM.
FTSE 100 at an 11 month high and FTSE 250 on the rise by shy of 1%, with the pound recovering back above the $1.30 mark it sank below recently.

Oh fuck, I hope they're safe and well! Flipping refugees, them.

They're ruining Norfolk. I'd rather have 1000 Poles before 1 Londoner. Urban vermin.

Seems all good news from the Farnbrough air show, all the major aviation companies seem to want to do more, yes more , work our way, with the Chinesen saying that Britain is a major trading partner and they would never turn their backs on the highly skilled British aerospace industry, also today at Farnbrough Saber, The hydrogen driven rocket motor got there 50million pound grant from the goverment, after much delays because of Brussel bureaucracy refusing to allow because of it being goverment help, better out than in!!!!!

Spread primarily by people trying to paint the Leave campaign as inherently xenophobic...

Are we really still doing this? Looking to pointlessly try and claim wins over one debunked claim after another?

Can we not all just admit that both camps told outrageous lies and came out with hilarious bullshit to try and swing the vote their way? Anything that happens in the next few weeks, the few months, even the next few years, will do nothing to tell us if the decision we as a country took was the right one or not. We'll only know 5-10 years down the line. Only then can we analyse and dissect wether we made the right decision.

All this petty "oh look, that claim was BS" stuff achieves nothing.

Try telling that to the remainers who say the country is ending because the pound is low or the FTSE is down.

Give it 10 years and we can look back and laugh at the people who voted remain. ;)

I'm keen on politics but don't want to get too heavy on here during my first week.

What I found most disturbing/hilarious about Brexit though was the number of people that didn't realise their voted would count and those that didn't realise you couldn't change it, once made.

How the fuck have these people made it through life?!

We'll only know 5-10 years down the line.

I don't think you'll be able to convince people either way in 50-100 years whether it was a good idea or not.

Ask 100 people whether (say) Thatcher's government was a good thing for the UK and you'll get a lot of different answers, and that was ~30 years ago.

Don't worry Fraser. We're a friendly, reasonable lot down here.

Mainly because she was very good for some people and not very good for others.

Well quite. You have to watch out for that sneaky commie llamas. I personally favour the considered, consensus approach to political debate but there are some argumentative fellas about.

Yup. Data isn't out yet as it's quarterly but according to The Economist there's suggestions that unemployment is also sneaking up in the last month.

Additionally due to economic factors and uncertainty there is precedence that the reduced GBP value will not be a big enough incentive for exports as much of the Brexit voice suggests.
