Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
I see on BBC site today one of the grand plans is a free Trade agreement with China.

Maybe i am wrong on this, but is it not what alot of Americans are really moaning about in their presidential election as a massive mistake they made?

Telegraph today calling for a return to selling food in pounds and ounces. I for one am glad we've got back our sovereignty to make such moronic decisions possible.

I'm never going to describe someone as 1.75m tall or order a 400g steak in a restaurant. The Stonecutters successfully kept the metric system down. Let's celebrate that fact.

There's also calls for the return of the blue passport and white dog poo (I guess?)

It's nice for us to get the important Brexit stuff sorted out first.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
So Thatcher MkII has said there will be no parliamentary debate or vote about it. This genuinely wasn't what was on offer before the election. It was an advisory vote, which has now become concrete, because people don't want Nigel Farage shouting at them anymore.

What worries me, though, is that even the most rabid brexiter has to admit that no one has the first fucking clue what they are doing now. There is no way we can get this sorted out in anything like the two years that Article 50 gives us, but there seems to be increasing pressure to trigger it just for the sake of it.

I've gone from the feeling that nothing at all was actually going to happen because the UK would get so tied up in knots trying to untangle everything that we'd suddenly be two general elections down the road and it would all sort of be forgotten about, to a feeling of impending fear that key Brexit people think exactly the same thing, and want to drive us off a cliff to make sure that doesn't happen.

We haven't actually left the EU yet mind

Indeed, a huge amount to happen yet and years to suss everything out. But at least we'll hopefully be avoiding the worst of initial dooms that were feared. The more stable our economy is, the smoother the leaving process is likely to be, you'd think. At least the idea of leaving hasn't caused too much meltdown. It has to play out in reality of course.

This is why I'm a bit worried. Voted to stay but would rather it goes smoothly (which it has so far to be fair), but ultimately there's gonna be a whole other load of volatility when we trigger article 50 and I think that's the real test. You'd have thought so anyway.

It amazes me anybody buys the Sun. It amazes me more that any educated person would want to work for it.

But millions of people do, which makes it dangerous when they drip feed the lies and xenophobia that they have for years.

Why am I not surprised that you read The Sun?

Well, first, I don't. There's a thing called 'Twitter' where people sometimes point out this sort of thing. Other people can then, if they so wish, share that further on that or any other medium. It's quite clever.

And second, could you give me some sort of critique as to why you assumed I 'must read the Sun?
