Just over 20 years ago, Man City v Vale was a league fixture!!

We sent them down to league one once.

They beat Stoke 5-2 on the final day but we won away at Huddersfield so both them and Stoke went down! I was about 8 or 9 and was at the Huddersfield game!

Good day for you, away win and relegating your biggest rivals!

It resides in Vale Folklore that Huddersfield tie...

The three teams that went down that day went on to get to the Premiership... one becoming one of the greatest sides this country has seen. Crazy how things change.

Think we've actually won 2 of our last 3 away trips to Man City.

We had a pleasant day in Stoke in the 90s. Last game of the season, we had already qualified for the POs and they had to win, either to make the POs themselves or avoid relegation - can’t remember which. The 1-1 went down very well!

Actually, looking back they were already relegated - rock bottom.

Just like they will be this season...

I reckon it’ll slow down a bit now. Most season ticket holders will have got theirs by now plus a large portion of season ticket holders are older folk who probably won’t go City.

Probably be around 1.5-2k for general sale which will go in a day I imagine.

We will be the biggest away following ever at the Etihad if we sell out. Massif!

Can’t see less than 1000 over the next 8 days going based on so far. Some will only get at weekend so this weekend may see a lot go and ones based further afield may try and wait for the game next weekend.

Exciting times though.

Away supper in December is never good for anyone on the run up to Christmas. The next away game at Mansfield will have 1000 there and the game at man city 8000 so people are bound save there money for them. Crewe fans can criticise away support when they cant even be arsed travel about 15 miles to vale.

Or sell out Macclesfield...

Still about the fifth biggest away following in L2 despite being one of the longest.

Dunno why you all bite for the alex, he’s loving it.
Fuck them, we got a big pay day, they will defo smash us to bits, our best hope is a decent chance to score, and keeping it down to 6.
But, who cares, we make maybe 300k and 7/8k of us are gonna sing our hearts out and and have a good day in great city!
Love the cup.

That’s nothing. We hold the record for the biggest away following ever at Cressing Road.

We once took double the amount of home fans in attendance to Cressing Road (1200 against less than 600 home fans)

Hmmm, if it’s true that Man City will be donating their 45% of gate receipts to Vale then any team to play Vale before this windfall will have had an unfair advantage so I will therefore be DEMANDING that our away game at Vale in April is cancelled and GTFC be awarded the 3 points.

Liverpool*, Manure, Chelsea**, Spurs away... there’s always a slight minuscule chance of a result, but not at Man City. If you keep it below 6 it will be a miracle.

*Yes I can vouch for this. :woo:

**Erm no I cannot vouch for this.......

After how we played yesterday I was not that confident about Tuesday, but Cocko possibly going can’t help the preparations for the Gas. I am still not confident mind, we had our opportunity and did not take it.

6282 sold as of COP last night.

Seem to be a steady 500 a day on average since the first couple of days so looking like there will be very few left for general sale on Sunday.

Might be worth seeing if we could move it to Wembley to fit us all in.
