I seem to remember the same thing happened about a decade ago, when we beat you in a replay at Brisbane Road.

We have Crawley away, Bristol Rovers away (Friday night), Orient away, and Exeter away in the next month. A punishing schedule, not least for the regular away supporters.
Yep happened in Round One in 2009/10. Drew 1-1 at Prenton park with Luke Ashworth and Chris Shuker scoring.

Then you won the replay 1-0 with Ash Taylor scoring the winner, then on the Saturday we won the league game 2-1 with Scott McGleish scoring twice for us and Charlie Barnett scored for you. I attended all 3 games. #memories

Thats quite an away schedule for you as you mentioned! Replay would be welcome for you, I am caling it now - Replay and we go up to Birkenhead twice in a week.

West Ham v Chelsea at noon on the saturday. Your ground isn't far from where they play is it. Sunday game?

Wouldn't of thought so, we've played at home at the same time as them before and nothing changes.

Won't be more than 3k at our game and can't see you bringing more than 300, I'll be amazed, no gobsmacked if its moved to the Sunday.

Boring draw if you ask me. We’ve been there a few times now and we never seem to win. We will probably sell out but Burton just doesn’t appeal to me in the slightest. It’s also a tough draw considering they’re a league above.

I don’t think it’s too bad, better than somewhere like Gillingham away, sell out away end, chance with our form of another scalp and local.

Won’t be easy but you’d fancy our chances at the moment and should be a good cup tie as long as they don’t mess around with times/days on it.

They’re the only team that have managed to lose to us this season, you’ll be fine.

Crap draw. Hate the FA cup. Won't go to either Northampton or Cambridge.

Both are pretty lame away days. Northampton is ok if you go into the town though. cambridge is just crap unless you went for a weekend, there’s absolutely nothing around the ground.

278 at Crawley. There will be more than 300 at a place that is in London. A bit more of an attractive destination, i am sure even Casey would agree on that.

Northampton isn't a good away day for us, our record there is abysmal. It's £37k if you get past round 2 though isn't it? Not to be sniffed at

Not feeling the magic yet !!. Bradford replay possibly followed by Northampton or Cambridge away. Hmm !!. Still, when we stuff Arsenal in the 3rd round all will be forgotten

How can you knock the beautiful and exciting place that is Crawley Robshep? Shame on you.

Indeed the dedicated bus lanes that can only be used by 10% of the buses are worth a visit all by themselves.

Funny you mention Arsenal, are they one of the only teams we haven't played?

Personally don't mind Burton, admire what they've done, a well run club who've achieved success without chucking money at it like say Salford for example. Nice little set up and like Accrington in the last round both well punching above their weight, I would hazard a guess their budget is less than ours for example.

One of my favourite nights as a Vale fan was us winning that top of the table clash 7-1 in front of other 10k at Vale Park under the lights, best atmosphere since the 90's in the ground that night... on the flip side the poor 4-0 a few years later so some good battles. (oddly the only other time we've scored 7 in recent years was Morecambe who also hit us 4-0 the meeting after!).

Should be a good game and marker to our huge progress in the last couple of seasons.

Good balanced post.
We have had some battles over the years.
I think to call us tinpot is uncalled for, given we make a profit every year and grew organically from non league to the championship. Off the pitch we are very well set up and run hence why we have had some good managers.
Onto this game, we will either win 3-1 or lose 3-1.
We are so unpredictable and erratic. On our day we are excellent but then we have a Crewe away in us too..
You are in great form so will be up for it.
Will enjoy this game.

Crawley’s alright, some decent pubs near Gatwick and it’s even got an impressive monument on a roundabout near the stadium.

The Wirral has its own annoying attractions, including miles of cycle paths that are safer to walk on than the pavements because hardly any cyclists use them when pavements are available. We probably have all the cycle paths because somebody gave a backhander to the council. Even Donald Trump found our local council dodgy.

If you can't find anywhere in Burton on Trent to have a decent pint the world is really in trouble.
