Refs can definitely be better as above but in football you get decisions and you don't get decisions. All part of the bitching and moaning as fans during and after games and it evens itself out eventually.

Rather that than be a prem boy whining on about how the technology has buggered them when it's supposed to get it spot on. The miniscule decisions on offside and now convoluted laws of the game are the priority to sort out.
Happy with VAR for offside and goal line technology. Not a fan for fouls and subjective decisions, happy to moan and groan about that after the game

Well let's be honest even with VAR there are still countless debates about decisions made - probably more than ever.

Most of the calls are subjective and rely on whoever the officials are on the day as they can be very inconsistent.

The big boys wanted VAR because they thought it would be perfect and nothing would be wrong but clearly hasn't been the case.

Goal line I'm on board with but for offsides I wouldn't have it. As it is you can be a badly cut toe nail length from being off or not and that is bat shit nonsense.

Anyway, Blackpool at home for us and yes it is a shit draw but I do actually think we can beat them. Having said that because they are not the most glamorous they will be used to playing at pokey lower league grounds like ours. I'd say we would have more chance if it was a Forest or a Birmingham type who would fancy it much less.

It could be worse, we could have Barnsley away or summat. Shame we didn't get Bristol Rovers, the whole of Hartlepool had their fingers crossed for what would be the biggest day in the club's history.

That's an issue with the offside rule rather than having it enforced with technology. VAR for offsides but make it daylight between the attacker and last defender - Incidentally, Cambridge's goal still would've been ruled off.

Our game won’t be televised, not a total surprise in all honesty. Think Swindon v Man City rightly is (and that should be enjoyable to watch) though looking at some of the other ones selected you’ve got to be kidding me such as Hull v Everton and West Ham v Leeds.

Hopefully we can make ours a Saturday 3pm job now.

Ours was a shoe in for tv. Friday night is a bit wank but I'll still try and go. I understand why they do it but putting all Premier league ties on is just so unimaginative.

Its got foreign TV all over it our game... maybe Denmark with the Brentford connection so probably be 5:30 on a Sunday or something stupid.

Cant see the Police allowing Orient and Brentford fans travel London-Stoke the same day, especially as both should bring a relatively large following.

Mansfield’s game vs Boro has been moved to a 12.30pm kick off in order to be a live overseas broadcast game.

Have to admit an pretty pleased we are sticking to 3pm Saturday. We’ve gotten away with that pretty well in all the rounds so far.

IF we beat Ipswich on Wednesday in the televised replay we'll have a 3pm Saturday game - but we can't win that as to maintain our record of being on TV every round we'd need to draw at Barnsley and hope there are not many other drawn games....
the Ipswich replay will be our 3rd televised match of the season.... has anyone else in L2 had that many (not counting Salford because they seam to have a contract that says they have to be on...)

A youth, I know watches every Stags game because he has a ‘dodgy’ box on his tv.

Well that must explain why we've been moved to 12:30 also, that's kinda garbage.

Each team gets £32,500 each though, so not the end of the world.

Like you with blackpool, middlesborough wasn’t the side i was looking for, but when you add in prize money, this tv money and we will probably have full houses it’s going to be somewhere in the region of £100k before the games played.

It softens the blow absolutely.

No ticket news for our game yet but we've allocated Man City 2,200 at a cost of £30. Given they have to travel down and back on a Friday evening I can't help thinking we could be a little more generous. I know we need the cash but I'm a little disappointed in us increasing ticket prices.

Christ thats steep, think City only charged a tenner for us going there place.

We have released our pricing for Brentford today, £16.00 for an adult in all area's except the Lorne Street which is £18.00 which is reasonable... have to see if it captures the imagination though.

Harsh... but I guess they know with it being Man City they will sell regardless... wasn't it Bournemouth who charged about £60 for a friendly with Real Madrid once?

Price to demand but does price out regular fans possibly.

I'd say to see their Reserves but Man City's 2nd string aren't bad!

When we played them a couple of seasons back they made changes but still had 2 World Cup winner (Ilkay Gundogan, David Silva) a Finalist (Sergio Aguero), the likes of Foden, Stones, Bernado Silva, Zinchenko, Cancelo and Bravo.

Pretty nuts really, not sure how you coach to try and win that sort of game really from a L2 side point of view! Was purely one where I just wanted a "moment" whilst the game was still in the balance (which Popey gave us) and not to get hit for double figures.

Man City fans tend to stick together and I don`t think they will want to pay£30 to watch their 2nd string demolish a 4th division side.

Just got prices for our game at Newcastle - £5 for me, £10 full price. Same as for the Histon v City derby over Xmas.
