I can't imagine any Ligue 2 games to be more than 10€ tbh. People don't go to games in that division.

Lots of news on the manager front in France. Rennes have enrolled Christian Gourcuff, Der Zakarian has left Nantes for Reims, Nantes have replaced him with René Girard while Nice have parted company with Claude Puel (strange, given the season he's had) and replaced him with Lucien Favre (major coup that).

Just like most summers, the managerial moves will probably be more interesting than the players changing clubs. PSG aside of course.

I guess PSG will be after a star striker to replace Zlatan?

Lacazette. We don't need to splash big to buy players as Ligue 1 is a hotbed of talented youngsters. We've got the money to keep them in the league, let's not look elsewhere. I haven't thought about this thoroughly but I don't think I'd want any player from a foreign league (well, maybe De Bruyne). Even Aguero doesn't seem like such a good idea given his injury record.

Hi mate. Do you anything about former Boulogne, Valenciennes and Rennes manager Phillippe Montainer?

He has just been appointed Nottingham Forest manager and I cant find much about him?

PSG sign Hatem Ben Arfa on a 2 year deal. Quite the turn around from someone who wasn't wanted at Newcastle and struggled at Hull 2 years ago

Montanier hasn't had the greatest couple of seasons lately. He was very good at Valenciennes where the side was playing very good football. He then went to Sociedad where he worked wonders but since his return to France, he's been a bit poor with Rennes. Playing players out of position and generally not offering very good football to watch unfortunately.
His record at Sociedad is promising for you boys and I reckon he's got for main objective to put you in the Premiership (long overdue isn't it? it's been 17 years!) and I reckon he'll either be very close or succeed. Probably not at the first time of asking but close enough. Our managers are extremely talented at developing the youth set-up and working on a shoe-string budget.

Jury's still out on the petulant little shit. Extremely talented. Let's see how he fares with the big boys. I must say, I'm looking forward to his performances in the CL...

PSG also signing Krychowiak is a good addition. Fancy Emery to do well there - could perhaps take them to the next level in Europe? He is clearly well versed after the success in Seville.

It's Bastia vs PSG tonight to kick things off in France.

PSG looked fantastic against Lyon in the Trophée des Champions and it's hard to imagine anything but a comfortable win for them again here.

Goalless currently. Bastia are actually defending unlike Lyon last week.

Yeah, Lyon's defence was abysmal last week. Bastia, like you say, have defended well and actually caught PSG out a couple of times with a well-timed offside trap.

I'm not quite sure what happened to Lucas there (struck by an object thrown from the Bastia fans?) but the commentator on my Russian stream was laughing.

Not quite as comfortable as I expected in the end! 1-0 PSG.

Lyon just beat Caen 2-0 tonight maintaining their 100% record. Hopefully they can keep it up to keep some kind of title race going. They're not great in front of goal but Lacazette is in great form. It's vital that Lyon keep him this summer (frankly I don't see him leaving, Arsenal aside no one will pay the ridiculous sum Lyon want for him - something around the lines of 80M€).

He's terrible. Don't think he'll come good for a side as ambitious as ours. Get rid and buy someone unfancied I say.

I've watched PSG vs Metz. Seems that PSG without Ibrahimovic will win this league title again without problems. 3-0 against Metz and Cavani alone could've shot another 3 Goals. It was something of a slapstick number how he doesn't want to score :D
Kevin Trapp in Goal with another good performance. Hopefully he'll get his chance for Germany in a friendly soon. For me he is already #2 behind Manuel Neuer.

Cavani was in good form last night, scoring four before being subbed at half time. Shame he couldn't do it when it mattered against Arsenal on Tuesday.

Such a frustrating player.

Balotelli gets another brace. Shame he got subbed off before the penalty that Plea missed.
Top player.

Fekir got his dumb ass sent off for a stupid foul, so Balo and the boys are sat 1 up with a man advantage, though saying that all the attacking play for the last 20 minutes has been from Lyon. Nice doing a Leicester this season? Well it won't be the first time they've won it but it's been over 50 years!

I do regret not staying in last night to watch last night's games. Both very intriguing results and performances that need to be scrutinized beyond simple highlights vision.

Don't really care about Nancy/PSG, Rennes/Bordeaux or Marseille/Metz later on this weekend. They all sound rubbish on paper.

MM will tells us more but PSG goalie might have cost his side 2 points in the big match against Monaco.
