I feel sick I'm so nervous.

We have every reason to be confident going into this game other than we are Walsall, which means we are all not confident whatsoever.

No logic behind it at all, unless their trying to balance it out?

But then you could argue the Peterborough vs Swindon game was televised over both legs last season, so I have no idea.

Only thing I can think is that they were pissed they didn't put the first leg on and that clouded their judgement

Why? most Preston fans don't want to watch us.

Has our game been moved to Thursday because of the League Cup games? Only logical reason, really.

Yeah, Sky wanted it televised but already had the league cup fixtures on so we got shunted.

Not that bothered, but the TV money is a bit of a joke. I know it's only the JPT, but considering the fact that it's Sky, it's like chucking a penny at a tramp sat on the pavement.

Yeah any idea how much JPT tickets were being charged? If we only get £10k it wouldn't take a huge amount of fans not turning up for us to lose money on it. Luckily we got the Fleetwood game moved. I was mostly annoyed when the Gills game had been moved but ours was still Saturday.

It'd probably take 1000 fans not turning up because it's on Sky for it to not make sense financially. I wouldn't expect a big attendance anyway, 7-8000? Are Gills expected to bring many?

From what I've read pretty much no Gills fans are making the trip with it being on sky and going into the leg losing.

The whole Walsall never been to Wembley thing should make it a great spectacle, and they're bound to be a bit edgy - tie's still open.

Apparently we've sold about 80 tickets in advance so would expect 100-150 at most

Proper nervous about this. The best chance in 129 years, 10,500+ packed into the Bescot. Chance to make a name, make some money and create something in our history.

Can just feel the egg on our fans face as we speak. Huge opportunity.

Right, onto tonight.

I'm excited. As excited as I've been for a North End game for years! Not because I expect to get anything out of it, purely because I'm going with no expectation and to have a good piss-up and a great atmosphere!

For the actual game, if we get an early goal, I reckon Walsall will shit themselves and it will help us. If it gets to HT 0-0 or worse, we're fucked. I can't see us scoring 2 goals but you never know. We get anything out of this it is a massive bonus!

If by some miracle we turned this around I think i'd almost feel bad for Walsall, their fans want it a lot more than ours (bar Tom). Think we've only shifted 900 tickets.

I still don't get the apathy towards this tbh. With our play-off record, surely this is our best hope of getting to Wembley in the foreseeable future! Do our fans not want to see us at Wembley?

I'm not really assed about going to be honest, I don't think Wembley has the draw it once had.

Shite international friendlies, semi-finals, American fucking football....

Trekking down to London to watch us play in a giant, half-empty bowl against a fellow League One side in a final which is forgotten about 5 minutes after full-time. Hardly the stuff dreams are made of.... Bristol City would rape us anyway.
