Who needs to win games anymore?

It seems that if you run around a bit on the touch line and celebrate home draws like champions league wins to be popular with fans and the media.

Maybe in the 5 years he needs to 'build his own team' he can bring back "those famous Anfield nights"*

Rodgers' Liverpool would have won comfortably today.

Forget all this nonsense about needing to build his own team, he has taken Liverpool backwards.

He won't see the next Christmas period to be able to whinge about it and bore us all to tears at least.

Absolute rubbish, Rodgers' Liverpool team were a limp, lifeless shambles by the end of his tenure. Klopp briefly got a pulse but you can't fight some diseases.

I'm not entirely convinced Klopp will turn Liverpool around but of course he needs to build his own team. The contract extension for Mingolet is bizarre though, can only think it's an attempt to boost his confidence but he's already publicly backed him several times and seen no improvement.

Serious question, are Liverpool still in a title race?

Just watching the cup game tonight and they look very good. They're only 6 points off top spot. They look a side potentially capable of going on a run under Klopp, especially if they keep key players fit up front.

More likely they'll challenge for 3rd/4th but I wouldn't rule out a late surge.

They're well and truly in the race. Analysing their first choice XI it's as good as anything else on offer with the exception of Citeh.

They've no real need to pay the inflated fees that the Jan window spurs up. Perhaps a central midfielder that gives you more guile than Lucas or Milner but can still provide the steeliness and defensive awareness that those two bring. I can't see them spending big on a striker. They invested heavily on Benteke and he's essentially back up to a fit Sturridge. Signing another striker (who won't be on the same level as Sturridge) would signify they think he's fucked.

They'll not be far off the title come the end of the season which is tragic for me as I bet we'd finish above em.
Some people on here really don't like it when Liverpool are predicted to do well, almost as if the possibility offends them.

Personally, I don't see us as being in the title race, despite only being 6 points off top spot. But I can see us finishing in the top 4.

Top 6 is almost nailed on. Outside of last seasons top 4, only Spurs have the chance to finish above us if you ask me. Like I've already said, I don't believe Leicester's fantastic start will continue throughout the campaign.

Changed your opinions lads? I'll be a bit suprised if Klopp manages to finish in the top 6 at this rate.

Stockport County.
The players despise him apparently.

I repeat; won't be there next Christmas.

Any predictions for the Exeter game tonight lads?

I predict jurgen to make even less sense in his post match interview than last time. Also tisdale will wear a trapper hat and fur lined underwear.

We should win comfortably even with an U-21 squad. Hopefully you don't take it as a sign of disrespect from Klopp considering the injuries in the squad and playing in all 4 competitions :D

Are you seriously putting out an U-21 side?

I'm looking forward to the West Ham game now.

He gave Mignolet a five year deal.

That is all.

Mignolet actually distributed the ball well tonight. Maybe he was being deliberately shite till after he'd signed and now he'll be better than Courtois, De Gea and Neuer put together. I think thats the case.

Mignolet kept the most Premier League clean sheets in 2015 stood behind a defence that is largely agreed to be a bit shaky. He's not a terrible goalkeeper.

He's not terrible at all, just not a goalkeeper that's good enough for a team with Liverpool's aspirations.

He's not terrible, just nowhere near the standard of De Gea, Cech, Courtois, Lloris and Hart. I'd have Butland in ahead of him too.

I'd have about 15 PL keepers ahead of him.
