I understand that mate and you are entitled to your opinion, I was just questioning the logic.

Blind logic I imagine mate..Trying to talk myself out of worrying..

I suppose I see 0-3 at home to Walsall and 2-2 against a poor, 'keeperless Crawley which are the type of results I cant really see ourselves or Swindon coming up with, especially as I sit here now with us both churning out the wins.

That said, MK are the best side to visit Ashton Gate.

So in conclusion Ive absolutely no idea really.

For what it is worth, Bristol City are more consistent and better than us for sure, but I think us and Swindon are as close as you could get in terms of quality and consistency. The fact we narrowly beat them 2-1 and will only be above them on GD (presuming we win our games in hand of course) is a testament to that.

Just to put things perspective - couple of seasons back Tranmere were top of L1 after 29 games, 7 points clear of 3rd and 13 points clear of 7th.

They didn't finish anywhere near the POs and Bornmuff, who were 13 points off top spot got promoted automatically.

Just saying . . .

The thing is, there is no way all 4 teams are gonna drop away. I think we will/already have but the top 2 will definitely be out of the current top 4.

April is the big month, without doubt, Us, Bristol City and Swindon all play each other with Swindon coming to Deepdale as our last home game. That could either be huge or a play off rehearsal.

I didn't realise that was your last home game of the season. I'm hoping there's nothing riding on it by then, for our sake, but I've got a feeling there might be!

Looking at our fixtures in February and March and there is a huge opportunity for us to get as much points as possible by April, we are more than capable to go unbeaten until then when you look at who we have in them two months.

That's probably what MK thought about Walsall and Crawley.

We're all going to drop points unexpectedly - even a draw is a poor result if the other 2 win.

Your fixture congestion could well prove a stumbling block as could any departures for us.

We are bound to drop points in them 2 months but I seriously cant see the fixture pile up costing us, only if we pick up injuries. When Southampton went up, they played loads of games and won the JPT, infact they got better and better.

The word is that the Manager and squad had been made aware of Afobe going around the time of these matches, which certainly took the wind out of their sails, the lad we have on Loan from Rotherham could prove to be a cracking signing, looked very fast, won everything in the air and chased everything down- something Afobe didn't always do. Our run in as things stand seems not to bad, the next two weeks could be key for us- we normally ship players out this time of the season, this time it looks like some coming in.

Seems a bit flaky getting upset at the possibility of a player going.

I'm still counting on you lot bottling it as usual

Big difference this year imho, first time we've had a decent squad and not doing our usual January clear out, it's going to be exciting either way.

Really? You bottle it as much as us. Regardless of who manages you, Swindon always seem to drop at the last hurdle for one reason or the other.

Crawley was annoying, but Walsall I fully expected to beat us. They always do when it looks like we're going to have a decent season. I've already factored it into next month that we're going to give three points away when we travel up to Bescott.

Preston giving themselves a lot to do. Think they will need at least 38 points from their remaining games to be in with a shout of top 2.

We'll all slip up and drop points between now and the end of the season. Preston look the most likely to consistently slip up though. We'll have a blip at some point soon, theres a long way to go still

PNE Online makes me laugh. I'd hope if we were fourth in the league we wouldn't want Cotterill out.

2 from 3 now?

I reckon! Ten points clear if we win our game in hand. They'd have to go in one hell of a run or we'd need to stutter quite badly! Two winnable home games and failure to do so. Think confidence could be knocked quite badly!
