Looks like Nile Ranger has another club, probably in this league.

Heard he was signing for York.

Far too good for League 2 but the crap that comes with him is never worth it. Real waste, possibly the most disciplined player I've seen at Swindon which is bizarre. Won't realise what he's wasted until he's too old to play.

Who the fuck would go anywhere near that bag of shite?
Rotherham

I was right about a L1 club then, because that almost certainly confirms they'll be back down here next season.

Who would want that tit on their books? Especially at either business end of the table late in the season, an absolute liability and changing room wrecker.

Gillingham signed El-Abd on loan until the end of the season. Seems they're not interested in top two then.

So we've got El-Abd in and look like we aren't resigning Oshilaja. Bit of a kick in the balls really.

Having said that, at least he's a centre back, which Aaron Morris isn't. We have enough pace to make for El-Abds distinct lack.

I thought El-Abd did ok at Swindon when we had him. Experienced head that was required and was quite organised.

I wish him luck at Gillingham.

Agree with the first bit but have to take exception to the comment that he would be a changing room wrecker. At Swindon he was a dream on the pitch and seemed to be well liked by the rest of the squad. He didn't show an ounce of indiscipline on the pitch, no tantrums when substituted etc.

Amazed that another club is giving him a chance but there is a talented player in there, just a shame he's such a horses' helmet off the pitch.

As long as you have a fast defender that can cover El-Abd he's more than decent at this level.

We have Ehmer who isn't rapid but he's no slouch, and our first choice full backs are basically sprinters so I think we'll get away with it. Hurry back John Egan though.

El-Abd's had a successful career but just got completely exposed by his lack of pace and height when he played for us. Didn't suit a back three at all - he was horrendous.

I wish him the best of luck, Gillingham is a good move for him.

He should get a decent reception should he play at Gigg. He was instrumental in our promotion season.

Nothing but praise for Nile the player and apparently he's a genuinely nice fella too.

What happens outside those 90 minutes is a nightmare, though

Sullay Kaikai has rejoined for the remainder of the season.

Our problems this season are vividly illustrated by the fact that he is still our top goal scorer having only played 17 games in his previous loan spell.

We've signed Riccardo Calder on loan from Villa, left winger, no idea if he can help us but given that we are in dire need of a left back, 2 centre halfs, a right winger and someone who can put the ball in the back of the net he seems the perfect signing.

We're signing a "familiar" striker tomorrow.

If it is Hiwula like I am hoping then we may just have a chance of re-entering the promotion race and turning our form around. Be a dream though.

Watch it be Ngoo...

Well, there is the Liverpool connection with SOD and Ngoo :o

And with SOD saying we need a targetman.

It adds up, but if we did get Hiwula, then id be really happy. 6 goals in 10 starts at Wigan, 9 in 19 for us. He'd get 5-10 goals for us which would get us a few points which are crucial now.

Thanfully Ngoo was before O'Driscolls time at pool!

We have re-signed Jordy Hiwula from Huddersfield on loan until the end of the season.

Praise the lord!! There is a brain cell somewhere inside the club.

9 in 19 on loan last year + 6 in 16 for Wigan whilst rarely starting this season.

Could be a vital signing.

Hiwula it is, excellent signing after what he showed last year. His spark and energy should finally wake us up a bit in the final third. It will give Bradshaw a kick up the arse and give him some help, it will also give SOD the option to go 4-4-2 and drop Sawyers if he needs to. We all know he will either play wide or sit on the bench though, this is SOD + Walsall after all.

This absolutely stinks, from Peterborough, again...

Mark Tyler has been given permission to talk to Posh after they courted him on transfer deadline day through Twitter and their chairman. Tyler, who has played 297 times for Luton, made some comments about wanting to go back, despite never sending in an official approach.

Luton signed highly rated Jonathan Mitchell yesterday and Jones mentioned in his post match interview that Tyler has a back problem, although Barry Fry and Jones had been talking for a while. Tyler will become player/goalkeeping coach at the club.

Is there a reason why they couldn't wait until the end of the season? With him out of contract anyway?

After a national rant about the club and wanting to sell after our cup loss to Exeter and public rants about cutting the budget if he can't sell the club, Smurf has announced today he is flying to America to talk with a US consortium... if the talks fail by Friday he will take the club off sale and in another of his twists will fund a new signing to help with the play off push over the last 10 games (striker I assume then).

So I assume this player is lined up already and what we all at VP knew all along that Smurf doesn't really want to sell and will probably not cut the budget.

Because he's an idiot and he doesn't know whats good for him. You're right, he'll continue sinking money into the blackhole that is owning a football club, desperately hoping for a lucrative cup draw or promotion run. He'll bitch and moan about how the fans don't attend, about how much money he's putting in and how much he's losing. The bloke has more money than sense, only idiots own football clubs that they aren't fans of.

He fluctuates and is a PR disaster but if the Americans don't buy us I guess Smurf will plod on bang on about the Championship and then moan at the fans not buying ST's after telling them he was going to cut the budget by 800k during the ST launch... but we are as stable as we've been in 2 decades so he's doing something right I guess. Keep his gob shut and we'd be loving him!
