I can't really get excited about Wyke. We are after some lad called Finks from the German 3rd league as well?? Bit of a step down from Ched and ALF a few days ago.

Not really the experience we are crying out for but clearly has something about him.

More bodies needed towards the other end of the field please tactics.

Yeah was hoping for a couple of slightly older heads, especially if we're in for a relegation battle but then if a good player becomes available it'd be silly not to get them on board just because of their age.

Very, very good footballer, way to good for the Conference. Great first touch and composed on the ball, should do well higher up.

Cheers, your fans seem sad to see him go which is always a good sign.

We've signed a forward - Josh Parker. Ex QPR, had a spell at Oldham, most recently been playing for Red Star Belgrade!

He played for us in a Middlesex Senior Cup tie a couple of weeks back. His goalscoring record in the UK is impeccable. :err:

Played for us in a reserves game against Cheltenham this week and scored. That's 2 triallist strikers we have trialled in games that have both scored and we've signed neither.

According to Appleton on the wireless yesterday, we've tied up a loan attacking player apparently to be confirmed on Monday and possibly another attacking player for a fee on Tuesday.

Ryan Taylor was left out of the squad yesterday as it looks like he is moving on, rumoured to be Plymouth. If so, glad he left on a high with his performance at Rochdale.

Edit: According to getwestlondon.co.uk the loan player is going to be dutch winger/forward Nasser El-Khayati from QPR. Ex Burton player who QPR signed for £350k according to that website. Don't know anything about him although to Wiki he scored 11 in 42 for Burton last season.

Signing Chris Long and Le Fondre tomorrow apparently. I'll believe when I see it, but much needed anyway.

Rumours round here are that you're getting lumbered with Eoin Doyle on loan.

Bradford and Pompey want him too.

Can genuinely say I don't remember anything of his 15 goalless appearances for us.

Played a few games for us once very good at running in straight lines as a footballer pretty fooking useless.

We're poised to sign Eoin Doyle as mentioned if the Wyke deal doesn't come off.

Meh.

Oh, and we've apparently bid £75,000 for a young LB at Barrow.

Vale and Rangers still to agree Alnwick deal... Rangers as stated want to pay 250k over 4 years... which until we receive 250k wont meet the release clause and our chairman has wisely stated we don't trust Rangers to pay it in instalments after their recent past, plus it isn't much use to us over 4 years.

Hopefully we stand firm... pay it up front or don't get the man!

Portsmouth is Doyle's preference but suppose it would come down to wage contributions.

The LB is Nick Anderton, we released him in the summer, good to see him work his way back into the Football League.

Rumour has it we are signing Andre Green on loan from Villa.

Started against us the other week and looked good, would be shocked to see him drop to League One, good enough to make an impact for Villa this season imo.

Pretty sure Green is very much on the cusp of the first team at Villa right now, and has even started a couple of games. Would be a backward move to drop down a league for him although with the amount of signings at Villa this window I could see why it could be a possibility!

Walsall fans, any views on Josh Ginnelly? Seems we've signed him on loan after his loan spell with you ended.

Journo's just tweeted we aren't going with Anderton from Barrow. Whoever is coming in would be cover at the most anyway, at least until summer.

McCall hoping for three more signings by tomorrow.

We've expressed an interest in Nicky Ajose too.

I hope the Wyke deal goes through. Don't want Eoin Doyle. Would take Ajose.

We're hoping for 2 strikers, and the ones linked so far aren't a replacement for Hanson.

Anyone know of any target men who're available, apart from Proctor?

And just as I posted that, our local Journo has rubbished the Ajose rumour even though it's come from a local Charlton Journo.

Our £75k bid for Anderton has been rejected and again, our local journo seems the think that'll end our interest in signing him.

Rich Cawley is usually quite good in fairness to him so would be surprised if there was absolutely nothing in it.

I'm fairly confident Ajose won't be a Charlton player by the end of tomorrow, although I guess it all depends on whether we bring a replacement in first.
