No, and why couldn't we afford his wages? He wouldn't be given a contract we couldn't afford.
I would have thought you would be expecting to get back to the Championship quickly. He is a Championship quality player and on wages to match.

Alex macdonald has signed for Mansfield.

We seem to be moving fast under Steve evans (unlike him lol).

What's he like Oxford fans? You guys always seemed pretty quality when we came up against you - and he's played for you a decent amount?

He do alright in league 2?
Yes a fantastic signing for you at League 2 and comfortable at League 1, just lacks that cutting edge in front of goal.

Don were you not arguing that Scunny aren't bankrolled yet can afford to turn down 4mil for Van Veen?

It's more the fact we couldn't replace him by the end of the day and we're valueing promotion higher than 4M I guess.

We did similar with Dack last January, but I think we would've gone for £4 million. We were offered considerably below that.

Soares has been stealing a living at this club for a while he has 1 good game in about 10 and that's being generous. The game last Saturday there were large parts of the game where I'd forgotten he was even on the pitch. Will always remember him for the goal that got us promoted and I will always thank him for what he's done but it's either now or the end of the season before we move on.

Liverpool Echo are reporting that ourselves and MK Dons are looking to sign Jordan Williams from Liverpool today.

Don't know anything about him, perhaps the Swindon fans could shed some light?

KVV is not wrth £4M. We should have snapped their hands off, if it were true.

Personally believe we could still get promoted without him - and £4M is a lot of cash.

Classy CB. Comfortable bringing the ball out. Can't think of a negative, really.

Thinks football becomes Volleyball during a set piece situation and punches the ball away?

Seemed good here then got injured. Should do well.

I'm not sure we could.

Hopper is great but doesn't really score many goals, Madden scores goals but doesn't seem to work with anybody and we look a lot better without him. Davies is a lump and Toney looks okay. Van Veen is pretty key for our team.

Cheers.

Did he play as CB then? That Liverpool Echo article has him down as a midfielder.

Probably won't happen anyway, article says Mk Dons also interested but we're leading the way, heard that sort of thing before!

We've released Felipe Morais.

Injury prone, but thanks for the memories.

He is far too inconsistent to be key. How you can write off Madden, when he has such a strong scoring record, is beyond me. He is a typically selfish striker, but he scores goals. I am certain that most - if not all - of the other teams in this league would love to have him.

Davies is a lump, but he has been brought in as an option. Sometimes you need people like that. Toney & him have only been here a few days. Give them time to settle. And don't forget that we have Josh Morris firing on all cylinders from midfield.

£4M is a LOT of cash, especially for Scunny.

I'm not writing off Madden, i'm as big of a fan of his as anybody but it's a fact that this season we've looked better without him. Van Veen and Hopper together up front have been a lot more successful than Madden and anybody. I agree that 4M is a lot and we should really sell but do we have a replacement lined up?

They are dealing with China, why not double their starting price as clubs over there seem to be happy paying any price for players
