Ffs, this angers me more than it probably should.

He's been a disaster this season! Half arsed performances in a strop, storming off with the ball like a child after getting sent off then coming back out to try and attack the referee at full time...

Alnwick left us with all our best wishes yesterday, Grant is rightly being slaughtered. You know more than anyone when he left you to move back to London and rolls up ten miles away.

Delighted we've managed to find some mugs to give us 100k plus when he's a freebie in a few weeks!

Rory Watson signed from Hull. Kinda pointless as we already have two goalkeepers.

Jack King (thank the lord) has gone to Stevenage on a free and Jonny Margetts on loan to Crewe.

He probably is a knob and that was one of the reasons Davis and Baker didn't like him but it's the way he was our best player and turfed out under the pretence he was rubbish and a waste of money (he didn't actually use London as an excuse, we just didn't offer him a contract as he was a top earner). Insulting to fans and makes the fact you made so much money on him all the more laughable.

Really, I just love the guy and forgive his shitty attitude as Crewe's attitude is far shittier.

Half arsed performances yet even with that he is one of our best players.
Huge loss. Brown has basically 3 hours to save us from relegation, a keeper is a must and now a holding midfielder, or is the mighty Amoros everyone thinks is gods gift going to step up ? I have seen nowt in him.
As for the Fleetwood, Grant was an asshole, but watch the video the woman linesman was a disgrace during the melee and did absolute fook all cos she crapped herself. Vales' bench should then of carted Grant down the tunnel. He was a knob i agree, the same lineswoman/ Person or whatever Pc name they are called then pointed Grant out in a recent home game before a ball was kicked, may of been Walsall on boxing day, she was on the halfway line telling her fellow officials ' thats him ',, shock horror Grant was duly booked later on.
Grant was one of our best players and is a huge loss.

The deal for Williams fell through for some reason.

We are looking like getting a striker in before the window shuts. Rumours are it's Theo Robinson. Christ please help us. Thought we actually wanted to make play offs

Chris Taylor signs from Bolton. The ginger prince is home.

Not the player he once was. Thought he was very disappointing in his spell here last season. The Taylor we had the first time round was very useful, not so much anymore I don't think.

We're done according to Robinson.

As expected, an utterly pathetic window where the squad is weaker and Roland is richer.

The lad is a hero around these parts. Even if he is at 10% of what he used to be, he would still be miles better than anything we have atm.

We're announcing a signing at 10:30. Suspect it's a loan signing made permanent. Maybe Jones from Liverpool.

Vale could be in a right mess here. Less than half an hour to go and we have only managed to lose 2 of our key players so far today (barring some unknown winger from QPR)

Do the emergency loan rules still apply to 'keepers?

Underwhelmed with our signings, meh.

Would appear that a goalkeeper is just finalising paperwork

We've signed Conor McAleny from Everton on loan until the end of season. 24 yr old winger/forward who has mainly had loan spells in the Championship or L1 with 2 appearances for Everton. Although, a bit uninspiring on paper, hopefully he will be successful like Lunny, Ryan Ledson and JJ Kenny who we signed permanently or on loan from Everton.

Alex MacDonald has left and signed for Mansfield along with Ryan Taylor going to Plymouth yesterday and Toni Martinez signing previously whilst Tyler Roberts left at the start of January. So overall, we are 1 player less in the squad from the start of January to now. Time will tell if we have got quality in.

Why? We've plugged most of the holes in our squad, with a back up keeper who isn't a child, a couple of wide men and a target man of a striker. You could argue we need another centre back, but if Oshilaja and Ehmer can get some sort of form going (and I think with semi-decent coaching, they will) then they're more than good enough, with back up from Herd who has been decent there when called upon then we maybe don't necessarily need another.

We didn't need another striker if JET, Cody Mac and Parker are apparently ahead of him. Wide players yes, but I'd liked to have seen more cover in defence. Especially fullbacks.

If we haven't signed a keeper that leaves us with 2 young lads with a grand total of ONE appearance between them, we could be well and truely screwed.

Trouble is we already have 2 left backs, so unless one of them went then another was never going to come in. Osadebe seems to be being developed into a right back over the last few months so that's an option. Of the 3 you mention, only Cody can be relied upon as a centre forward - JET is a lazy bastard and deservedly on the bench, Parker is a complete unknown but by all accounts can play wide as well as upfront and our other forward in Donnelly seems to have totally lost it. Quigley gives us something we just don't have. Still plenty of free agents out there for cover should we need them.
