Well Vale are certainly dragging out the announcements. OVF has broken under the strain

Not sure what to make of that... keeper is a rookie... Pugh was decent but has slipped down the leagues!

Not sure about either to be honest. Pugh seems to be just trying to drag his career out as long as he can and there is very little information on Fasan apart from him being an Italian goalkeeper at Celtic. Doesn't seem to have played games up there and has been shunted down the pecking order by new arrivals

So now we have 3 keepers, with 1 appearance between them.

 I am sure his practice in the Scottish reserve leagues will hold him in good stead for League 1 football

We've signed one player - Tom Soares - in the transfer window. No loan players so I guess Ards is pretty happy with our squad.

Liam Grimshaw joins Chesterfield on loan.

Don't play him at right back,

Is he shit?

We've lost 4 players this window, Gary Liddle, Jay O'Shea, Gboly Ariyibi & Liam O'Neil (at least, I think on those last 2?!)
And we've brought in 4 unknown kids on loan.

Very fucking underwhelming. JayO and Gboly are our only real creation from midfield, so that's great. Not bothered about the other 2, except Liddle brings a lot of experience which could have been invaluable in a rele scrap. I don't know how we're going to stay up, I really don't...

Pretty poor transfer window from us.

Our rivals seemed to strengthen and we only signed two average strikers and a 3rd choice goalkeeper. Van Veen could still end up leaving. Hope we don't regret our lack of action.

We've signed the lead singer from The Undertones, or an ex-jockey, or a royal historian. Anyway, some midfield waif from Brighton called Sharkey. I had a dog called Sharkey once. Lovely blue greyhound he was.

Nicky Ajose signs for us to the end of the season, seems he can only score in a Swindon shirt, but what service he will get is debatable

No he wouldn't.

Let's just calm down a second eh?
The 10% is obviously an exaggeration but can you honestly say he isnt a fair bit bettrr than what we have currently.

Stuart O'Keefe in on loan from Cardiff. Happy with that.

Quality over quantity in this window - see Karl, that's how it's done.

Until I've seen him play, I don't think he's anywhere near the level people seem to think he is. He isn't going to be the same player he was a few years ago - he's 30 now after all, but that's not to say it's not a worthwhile signing as we do have some shit amongst us.

I just think people need to curb their expectations a tad...

Didn't realise this was his THIRD stint at Swindon now.

Read his interview about returning 'home'. Pleased he's gone to be honest, obviously the type of player who hasn't got the stomach for the fight in tough situations, would rather just spend his career in his comfort zone at Swindon where he's going to be a hero no matter what. Obviously no desire to adapt his game either, no real ambition to get better.

He'll probably go and score loads for Swindon now, obviously just a good fit for him. I'm happy for him to do that as long as his goals don't take you past us and it wins me my bet.

His footballing brain is better than this level, but his finishing was pretty erratic bar FA Cup games. 2 in 14 I think in the league? And one of those just hit him. His best work was generally when we didn't have the ball in his work rate and pace.

Weird one for L1, though. I think he was trying to stay here because after our game at Solihull last night, he was back and forth with our manager and Chief Exec. I think he wanted to stay but we can't compete with L1 wages and a 2.5 year deal.

Was pants for us last season. Recall one good game against Rochdale (who were dreadful on the day)

I've no idea to be honest, he's a central midfielder, bit of a battler supposedly. Motherwell fans seemed to really like him.

We threw him in the deep end at the start of the season and played him at right back when we were short and he was all over the place.

Too many players in front of him at North End and now we have John Welsh returning from injury.

I thought Robinson stated he didn't want him and he basically wasn't going to play?

Not surprised he left but never thought he'd return here so soon.

He's great in the penalty area, all round game is limited at best. Pretty sure we'll only see the best of him whenever Obika isn't broken which is rare, unless Norris thrives off the partnership and can prove a great foil for him. I have my doubts.

Rohan Ince is the one for me though. Think his presence will improve us no end.

He did, I just think there is a little more to it.

If it wasn't for injuries he wouldn't have even been making the bench. His attitude never seemed to be that great on or off the pitch, strikes me as the type of player who doesn't like being asked to do things or play in a way he doesn't want to. Not willing to adapt at all.

Not knocking his goal-scoring ability, i'm just not bothered about losing that type of character. Just wish he'd have gone sooner and we brought in a better replacement than some kid who has never played a game of professional football.

Robinson looks a right idiot in that video

You've seen it then?

Yeah, very cringeworthy. It hasn't washed with a lot of Charlton fans, especially as there is now a video circulating of him giving the exact same speech when he was your manager.

I think I like him, but I can never work out if he's really being sincere or not. He can do an interview and you think he his but a minute later you're wondering if it's just for show, then another few minutes later you're sure he is genuine again. Hard work.

You shouldn't, he's a complete cock

Agreed. Which was always my stance when he was at MK but when he's your manager, you can't work out if you like him being a cock.

Weird.

I think the general consensus I've seen was a lot of it was about us and that hasn't gone down well either. I think he's really burnt his bridges here, I really hope Reeves gets given a new contract, think KRs head would explode.

It's only now he's gone that I can sympathise with fans of every other club stating what a thundercunt he was - he is, but he'll come out with loads of Robbobollox but will put in bags of effort.

I am very sure it was about you, some of it was a bit below the belt I must admit, stuff about being jealous of a club with a fan base that goes back generations etc.

It's this part of him I don't like, he just needs to say 'we tried to get certain players but we feel some of the prices we were being quoted was too much' and that's all that needs to be said. Very hypocritical of him after publicly announcing that he wanted Reeves and would get him one way or another to then accuse clubs of playing dirty.

Still, he's our manager now and have to/will get behind him.
