He should start as Leutwiler is apparently on his way out.

Henderson
Toto
Rodman
Nolan
John-Lewis

So yeah, 5 ex Grimsby players. Toto has been amazing for us but Rodman blows hot and cold as wingers do. He does like to take a man on though, so I'll give him that.
Yeah, I loved Toto and wish we still had him. Glad he's doing well. Nolan was also great for us, but I don't know if he was ready to step up to L1 when he signed for Chesterfield. Seemed to get mixed reviews when I asked about how he did last season. Yeah, you've pretty much nailed Rodman there. Likes to run at players but frustrating end product and typically inconsistent for a lower league winger. I never really rated him at Conference level, so how he has found his way to L1 really surprises me. Lenny was a slow burner for us. Came with a poor reputation and wasn't well received by the fans. Hurst persisted with him though, and he turned out to be a very important player. A lot more than just a goal scorer, however I do think L1 is out of his depth. If anyone can get him firing though, it's Hurst.

Oh and I was only joking about Henderson being on the bench. Hurst brought him to Grimsby, but never played him. He didn't get any game time until December, when Bignot was in charge. Hence the comment.

Apparently signing Brighton full back Rob Hunt on a permanent deal.

Would be happy with that as it sorts out LB for us.
As good as that would be, I'd be very surprised! I see him as a cut above who we could attract. He'd soon attract offers from elsewhere if he played anything like last season too. What a defence we'd have though, with a fit Dummigan as well? Got me hoping it's true now!

Edit: unfortunately, this doesn't read like a report on a player they're about to let go http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/15398554.Hunt_can_stake_his_full_back_claim_in_pre_season/

Can anyone here shed light on who the league 1 club is showing interest in Cheltenham Town's Harry Pell?

I can probably rule us out! Has he been that good for you? Wasn't up to League Two when we had him. Be nice if he's kicked on though because I liked him.

Us, Fleetwood, Oxford and Bristol Rovers just been linked to Sonny Bradley

We may have been interested earlier in the summer but almost certainly not now. We already have 4 CB's, having signed 2 already this summer. We also have Mike Williamson on trial so would imagine we would go for him if we needed another CB.

Rumour online that we have had a bit accepted for Matt crooks. Scunthorpe fans how did he do for you last season?
He's different gravy. We're reportedly in for him too so i'll be gutted if he signs for you.

Would you like to take Leutwiler off our hands, as he will be looking for a new club!

Is he an attacking midfielder or more of a sitter? We're pretty well stocked in defensive midfield so I'd be surprised if we did sign him

Definatley league two standard now, he got made captain half way through the season but didn't work out and his game suffered (don't think he's cpt material), they took the armband off him and it freed him up and had a very strong finish to the season (ask grimsby fans). Don't want him to go but we need the ££.

He's can do both really. He likes to drive the ball forward but is also an excellent tackler. Scored 3 in 12 while here which isn't bad for a CM.

He did really well. An excellent player. I'm not sure why Rangers don't want him. We are in for him as well so it looks like he will be choosing between the two of us.

A few additional comments. Crooks seems to have spare time on the ball, always a good sign. He lets the ball do a lot of the work too. One criticism I have is that he does not get into the attacking box enough. It may sound odd with his 3 goals in 12 with Scunny, but he has a knack of arriving late and in a good position to finish. Reading the game like that means he should be encouraged to be a more box-to-box midfielder. He has goals in him. Maybe Alexander held him back when he was with us, as we are often too defensive minded for my liking. Crooks is someone I would like to sign.

We have Trotter on trial at the moment. Another CM midfielder who I would like to sign.

Apparently we have officially signed young Spurs keeper Luke McGee on a permanent deal. Will be interesting to see what the fee was? Peterborough fans - what are we getting?

Good keeper, the best we've had for a long time. We wanted to sign him on a permanent but Spurs didn't want to negotiate. He was also meant to be on big money aswell.

This may be a sign that the due diligence period for our Eisner takeover is almost done. Difficult to see us making this kind of signing otherwise.

Would be a great signing by the sounds of things (finally we'd have our own keeper again!) so I'm hoping it gets over the line. That leaves a CM and striker left on the shopping list..

Rumour has it we might get Calum Dyson on loan from Everton. Under 23 striker who was on loan at Grimsby last year. Anyone know anything about him?

McGee sounds top keeper, and single handedly (or both hands?) ensured Posh a top half finish. 21, L1 experience, sounds good to me!

Kept us in a lot of games and had some quality tantrums at our hapless defence. I liked him, he was good with crosses, good with commanding the box, good with distributing the ball, good with free kicks/penalties and a very capable shot stopper. He made very few mistakes during his time here. Apparently was on bonkers money though and Spurs didn't really want to do business is why we haven't resigned him.

Not quite sure where we have found it but we have apparently bid £300k for Baxter.

Personally, I think it's bollocks.
Latina fans need to stop taking any old tweet as gospel.

Our Young Striker George Miller is being continuously linked with a move to Middlesbrough. I'd hope he stays with us for another season at least. Good finisher but needs work on quite a bit of his game.

I don't understand how you can get released by Everton as a youngster, presumably for not being good enough or having a poor attitude, then spend five years in the lower leagues, doing very well but not exceptionally, then get fucking banned for drugs and released by a L1 club...

...and somehow find yourself back at Everton DURING your ban?
