Can't remember if I have asked yet or not, but Rochdale fans, what is Donal McDermott like? We are signing him after a trial.

Meanwhile, in Kent... :tw:

Do you feel we need that much more? We've signed up half a dozen, I would say we're only lacking in terms of numbers up front and a creative midfielder. The signing of Ogilvie has given us depth at both left back and centre half, Pennock seems to be wanting to play wing backs so O'Neil and Wagstaff can compete on the right there, the midfield still has several options (albeit missing that creative spark) and we've got a couple of new forwards in already, although I'd like some pace up there too. Another centre back would be useful if Morris is out for a while, but he's more than capable of playing there (or indeed, most places!) if he's fit.

Oxford are signing James Henry on a free. I think that's a good signing at this level. Thoughts?

Always thought he was a really good player for this level, think thats a good signing. Oxford not done much business so far, case of being delayed by change in manager?

Yeah very much so with players not wanting to commit until manager was appointed. Most of our business will be targets done by recruitment before Pep coming and he will give the go ahead. Word is we might sign one or two more this week. Maguire won't be signing backto Oxford but Henry looks to have the same level of quality.

I think we already had the makings of the best team in L1 last year so just a case of keeping what we had :cool1:

Oxford were decent when they played us at the end of the season, can see them being up there.

He's a strange one really. He's talented, he has a very good left foot and is pretty skillful. He isn't particularly quick but he's dangerous when cutting in from the right hand side.
His workrate is questionable. He doesn't do much defensively and rarely completes 90 minutes. He's an okay signing... Nothing more really. A good option to have.

According to chairman Peter Swann, Scunny have dropped out of the race to sign Matt Crooks as they couldn't match what we wanted. Leaves us as the only team left in the bidding it seems. Still not convinced we need him.

Looks like James Vaughan will be joining Sunderland soon. Between 900k and a million is being banded about but will be announced as undisclosed.

Disappointed but a club our size cant turn offers like that down. Lee Novak has been rumoured to replace him - not sure on the likelihood of that?

Fair play to Bury if he goes for that. I don't understand why Sunderland would make that signing though. Strange.

O Rly?

We've just signed arguably better goalkeeper on a permanent deal. So Cook is welcome to him.
I'm sure telling yourself that will make you feel better, but Walton was always your first choice.

Portsmouth were also one of the clubs in for Long from Sheff Utd before he joined us.

Better manager than Cook, was only after Walton because McGee wasn't going to be available until August earliest. Pompey 2-0 Cock

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
Brett Pitman to Pompey - guarantees goals, especially at this level.

Pretty sure it was us who had a £500k bid rejected earlier in the summer, Grayson is obviously a fan and loves signing players he's worked with previously.
