We've signed defender Dwight Tiendalli. Worked with our manager Pep Clotet at Swansea and played for them in the PL. Been out for 18 months after injury so a bit of a gamble.

Edit: Beaten to it.

I think you answered your own question quite accurately there. Some quality is needed in midfield and up front, whether we get it or not remains to be seen. Rumour of Dexter Blackstock incoming, can't see it myself.
Blackstock? I fucking hope not.
We must have learnt something from the JET, O'Hara fiasco

Looks like its very close to happening with Brett Pitman. Interesting signing, apparenlty not happy playing hoofball and ipswich. Him and Chaplin are going to be a good partner ship.
Very good signing, I wish we were keeping him and I'm sure he'll get 20+ goals next season. Don't blame him for wanting out though, we've never really played to his strengths.

Josh Emmanuel confirmed.

Ipswich fans want him as first choice.

Completes best defensive in the league.

Emmanuel Belaid Ajayi Purrington.
A minority of Ipswich fans want him as first choice - great potential but he's still very raw. I'm hopeful that this will be a good move for all parties.

Most clubs in this division are doing excellent business. Could be a really close division this season. Looking at the transfers of all the clubs, I can see Bury, Southend, Charlton and Pompey being the dark horses in this division. Peterborough and Walsall could well struggle though.

Ethan Ebanaks-Landell signed on loan from wolves. Very happy with that.

A back 5 of:

Lewington-Walsh-Wootton-EEL-Williams

Unreal.

Looks like an unusually high number of fans are really happy with their club's close-season business. Looking forward to a quality season ahead - roll on August 5th (apologies to Gills fans).

Bury will need to reinvest that money on another couple of strikers because i'd be amazed if they get more than 10 starts out of Beckford.

It's fine, believe it or not we aren't QUITE as bad as some people want to paint us to be  Mid-table for us is realistic, just so happens that this year we aren't one of the 19 clubs who are convinced they'll finish in the play-offs.

A bit jealous of that Ebanks-Landell signing when we'll end up with a 36 year old Gordon Greer
Agree, although isn't he left sided? If so it's redundant as McCall is adamant they have to be right sided, I've never seen a manager talk as much about specialist left and right sided CB's as him.

I'm with you joe, we won't finish in the play-offs and i'm finding it hard to convince myself we can finish anything above 16th.

League One this season is going to be incredibly competitive. There are some seriously strong squads.

Yep, new striker hoping to be announced before our game v Huddersfield on Sunday. Feeling out of the club is that the fans will be impressed by it.

We shall see.

Hopefully it's Eoin Doyle so he can re-establish his great understanding with Beckford.

Rumours suggesting Matt Crooks is going to be discussing personal terms with us this weekend.

It's a refreshing change to the usual comments on how shit the league is - I look forward to the resumption of normal service in October when some no-mark team is top of the table.

Personally, reading you all talking about players i have never heard of, I don't think Oxford have much of a chance.

We won't be in the play-offs, nor should we be relegation fodder. Year of solid mid-table consolidation for us. I expect us to be an inconsistent mixture of good results against some sides, terrible against others. Its a new league for us and we have to find our feet.

I am happy that we are stronger than last year, but then so is the competition. We do have some flair players, will we have the pluck and sheer doggedness we showed last year to grind out results?

Scunny have now had a bid accepted for Crooks, expect him to go there having played there and seemingly enjoyed it last year. Annoying but what can you do.
