Warnock is saying that he might loan out some Cardiff players to us. Nice to see that Colin is thinking of us. Though it is not a one way street. He also said that he was thinking of getting rid of Matty Kennedy at Xmas, but after his loan with us he may now get into the first team.

So, as always our local journo puts up a picture of tomorrow's back page, and the headline is;

"BANTAMS PONDERING BID FOR LOCAL LAD".

Definitely a right-sided CB - and the only one we can think of is Matty Pearson at Accrington Stanley. He's originally from Keighley, a suburb of Bradford. Managed 9 goals and 6 assists last season, which isn't too shabby from defence. He's also at the right age, given we're all youthful these days.

Some ITK on our forum reckon he'll only cost us circa £100k.

Any of you lot know any right-footed CB's who are local to the area?

How is Keighley a suburb of Bradford? It's about 15 mile away from the city.

I'd be alright with Pearson, makes a lot more sense than our interest in Greer also.

Suburb;

"an outlying district of a city, especially a residential one"

Pretty sure it has a BD postcode, too.

Posh sign Steven Taylor, ex-Newcastle captain on a 2 year deal!

Cracking signing providing his knee isn't completely shot.

Think he is done to be honest, his injury record over the last few years is awful. Would be surprised if he played more than half the games this season.

People said that when we signed the equally injury prone ex Newcastle defender Ryan Taylor last season and he played in most games... he was half arsed though and didn't produce anything like he did for Newcastle.

Don't understand why Posh fans are so happy with the Taylor signing, I think it's one of the worst signings I've seen in the FL.

He's been shite for years, and when he hasn't been shite he's been injured, and on a 2 year deal with what I assume would be pretty decent wages.

Lundstram has gone to Sheffield United for an undisclosed "attractive" fee. He was in the last year of his contract.
I'm not sure he can cut it in the Championship but I didn't believe Wright could in League 1 so I hope he does well and we have a decent sell on fee.

For our club. The money can be invested in strengthening the squad.

£500k was rumoured a while ago so possibly a bit more.

I thought Lundstram was a classy player and absolutely expect him to find his feet in the higher division. Been a great asset for the club and deserves his move.

Lundstram's done well for himself since being on trial with us back in 2015 when Everton released him. Fair play to him and Oxford.

Ex Newcastle and Wolves CB Mike Williamson signs on a 1 year deal. Been with us through pre-season so was always expected. A decent bit of experience to play alongside Curtis Nelson who has been made captain now Lunny has gone.

1st year scholar DruYearwood has signed a 4 year pro deal with us. Has been outstanding in pre season so far looks a gem. Well in contention to start against Blackburn

Literally not played one minute of football for us yet, with no indication of when he'll be back either.
Better get used to it, Rob. He was well liked by many Scunny fans on the occasions he was fit and played in CM. I was not one of them. Good luck with him, if you can get him playing.
