First summer signing announced today, Danny Andrew from Donny Rovers on a 3 year deal
I remember him from a few years back playing for us but cant say he stood out. In fairness I think the guy had injury problems which seem to be in the past as he played 46 games last season
The question is for any Rovers fans out there, is he a good addition to our squad ?

What do you think about Fylde splashing out so far this summer? Looks like they’ll be going for it next year now that $alford are out the way

Rotherham bid £200k for Dru Yearwood. An insulting offer. Rightly told them to go fuck themselves.

He and his agent have been playing silly bastards with us so he hasn’t left us in a good light to be honest. When we signed him I wasn’t impressed however he was very good attacking down the left and not bad at defending. He then got injured at Wimbledon and was out for 6 months. When he came back he wasn’t the same until probably the last 3 months of last season. He can take a tremendous free kick but his crossing is woeful and he can get caught too far up field at times. I would say a decent signing for you.

Nothing heard at this end only the quote from your local paper.
Is he a defensive midfielder? Just going on the fact of no goals in 33 appearances.
Its not usual for southern born players to want to come north anyway, so don't worry I doubt he'll come here.

Kirkham will be in League Two within a year or two i've no doubt, even less competition down there now.

Absolutely bizarre project, two small places with a combined population of little over 10,000 stuck in the middle of Preston and Blackpool. I don't know what the overall aims are of these owners, I doubt they could even match Fleetwood's crowds at this level and the Cods have clearly hit their ceiling.

If Fylde got promoted, they would be the 20th North West club in the PL/ EFL (I think)... pretty mad.

Plus there is Stockport, Chorley & Barrow in the NL.

Steve Morison about to sign for Shrewsbury. Undoubtedly one of our recent greats, and an absolutely horrible player to play against when hes in form. Unfortunately the goals dried up in the Championship, but i'd expect him to do well back down in league one.

Get someone with decent movement around him and he'll lay on about half a dozen goals a season with clever flicks and passes too, got a lot to his game.

Not a new signing but a contract extension/new contract, Kieran Agard is staying at MK.

Well pleased about that.

We've been loosely linked with Jorge Grant (Forest) and Enzio Boldewijn (Notts County). Tried to sign both before and Cowley does tend to go back in for the ones he's previously missed out on.

Strongest rumour was Ben Coker, which seems to have quietened down but apparently he's got married? So maybe he's away still.

I don't know about you, but I think this is a very good transfer for all parties.
Cardiff get a very Warnock type of player, Will gets the chance to play in the Championship, we (unusually) get a decent fee for a player with only 12 months left on his contract and Falkirk get a much needed pay out.

The only loser is Bluebell Wood, though we will all be poorer for losing such a committed player and an absolute top bloke.

Agreed a fee with Plymouth for Ladapo. but have pulled out of the deal due to personal terms. Freddie must think he's better than he is

Our 17 year old midfielder, Dan Adshead, has joined Norwich for the usual "undisclosed" fee. My guess is £300-500k, plus add-ons (appearances/percentage of future profits if Norwich sell him). Good luck to him...

Tbh I've not been following all their tranfers. Haythornthwaite will be gutted at missing out on promotion and would gladly have swopped the Wembley win for league 2. Their downfall lasr season was too many drawn games, an improvement in that area will surely see them going up.

It’s believed we have completed a deal to sign Tariqe Fosu-Henry from Charlton, expected to be announced tomorrow. Pleased with that if true. We are also believed to have had a bid for Chris Cadden from Motherwell accepted.

Its more Wesham than Kirkham which is even worse........

Yeah good bit a business to say he only had a year left. Hope he does well there and makes a lot of appearances and we should get the rest of the deal.

I only hope for your sake that you get the 17/18 Fosu and not the 18/19 version.

Fosu was very hit and miss with us, looked absolutely sublime at times but was anonymous for much of his season with us. Hit form towards the end of the season though to earn his move to Charlton.

That's strange, as I can't see him being on much here - so would have undoubtedly been offered a decent jump in pay. Was a total journeyman with not much of a record before signing for us.

Problem is I still think footballers and agents think we are rolling in it and hike up personal terms, will be the same with Sunderland. Strange one

We’ve signed Reece James from Sunderland happy with that. Certainly not weaker for the loss of Andrew.

A big boon for Shrewsbury, IMO. His legs are going but like you said Matt, he's an 'orrible and extremely intelligent footballer -- a born winner.

Terrific signing of Josh Morris by the Cods today, He shone when he was with us some 4 years ago and then had 3 outstanding seasons at Scunny, Hunter and Morris on the wings and Paddy Madden feasting on the crosses, oops theres that b...pig flying past the window again.....

Very good but somewhat surprising signing for Fleetwood. Thought Morris may aim a little higher but he's from the area so makes sense. Was class for us for two seasons, not great last season but was injured for most of it. Hope he does well.

We know we've got a good squad for L2 level on paper but there's too many wasters in the squad that we need to get rid of. Hard to do so when we signed them on big contracts for too many years. Really like the appointment of Paul Hurst though, think he's a good gaffer. Fingers crossed we can make a play-off push really.
