Rotherham fans, what can we expect from Jerry Yates who we have taken from you on a season long loan? In the last year of his contract so I suspect this is potentially a season long trial for him.

Ellis Harrison pictured at our training ground today being shown around by our Assistant manager. Hopefully he can get back to his Bristol Rovers days and put the ipswich nightmare behind him.

It's all very quiet in Lincolnshire at the moment.

We're probably the only club who haven't released anyone or signed anyone.

TBH Rotherham fans haven't seen much of him lately.
He was brought back early from Carlisle because of injuries but he didn't get on the pitch much.
When he did, against Leeds he lost possession near the halfway line and cost us the game.
At Derby he had a bit of an altercation with Jon Taylor because things were going terribly wrong in the match and I don't think he got another chance after that.

Most of our fans were hoping he would be transferred. However people only seem to remember the bad things that he has done.
He clearly wasn't good enough for the Championship, but seeing as we were relegated that sort of suggests he wasn't on his own.
He has had some decent games in League 1 and he is still only 22 so time will tell.

Carlisle fans will be in a better position to answer that.

Strange one that. He showed much more promise than Jackson and then if true, selling to a promotion rival is a mad move from the club

Signing unknown players from lower levels never did WFC any harm. He looks like a good prospect.

We’ve signed Madger Gomes from Leeds. A midfielder and I haven’t got a clue.

Very good but somewhat surprising signing for Fleetwood. Thought Morris may aim a little higher but he's from the area so makes sense. Was class for us for two seasons, not great last season but was injured for most of it. Hope he does well.

From what i've seen of Morris I think he'd get massively found out in the Championship but he's a real asset in League One, good signing for Fleetwood, location must have been a big factor, who wouldn't want to be back near the fine city of Preston?

His main attributes from what I've seen is decent ball control and decent movement but he doesn't seem to have much pace or strength.

We are a bit of a long ball team and imo our style of play wasn't suited to his and ended up at Carlisle where he played more out wide and did alright by all accounts and Carlisle wanted to keep him so their fans would be better to judge him than us.

Hope it works out for him and kicks starts his career, never want to see a player from our academy fail and doesn't fill out his potential.

Thanks for the feedback - good luck in League 1 this season.

All up in the air down on the South Coast.. Makey-Stevens apparently now going to New York, Harrison still in negotiations and we are hoping to finalise Paul Downing who is wanted by Doncaster too. Rumours yesterday that we were trying to sign Ched Evans, but we poured cold water on that which is odd as we never usually say anything about rumours. Linked still happening. Clarke still not signed for Brighton yet, Lowe apparently wants to leave.. All looking rosey!!! lol

This is exactly the sort of rumour that needs to be thoroughly quashed as soon as humanly possible.

Don't understand how Paul Downing keeps getting moves and seems to be in demand. We signed him from Walsall - most of their fans laughed, said he was shit etc and as we'd just signed him we just thought it was the usual comments some fans make when they lose a player.

Turned out they were absolutely right, he was awful for us....gave away pens easily, misplaced backpasses etc Think he had a run of about three games where he wasn't too bad, but 90% of the time he was so complacent. We loaned him to Blackburn and he apparently started off very well there. Now he's signed for Portsmouth :dk: baffling.

Blackpool sign ex-Rover Ben Tollitt, after his release. Offering him a 2 year deal after his injury hit last couple of seasons is a gamble for his new club, but the manager worked with him as a youngster and it would be good if he was able to regain some of the pre-injury form.

Very surprised a league 1 club have signed him, great move for the lad though.

I don't think he's remotely good enough for L1. If it was Conference he was only ever coming to us but seeing as we heard nothing for weeks most expected him to go to a mid-table L2 side.

As Dippy said, I think he was capable enough in L2 but he didn't really seem cut out for L1 over a season. Not very mobile (6'5" and no pace), can occasionally pick out a decent long range pass and make a decent challenge now and then. We've essentially replaced him with Hiram Boateng from Exeter who seems a better player in every way.

Can play in several positions, his usual position is defensive mid but has played CB and further forward if needed.

Tollitt is nowhere near good enough for League One. He was completely anonymous in League Two last season. He would have been better off rebuilding his confidence at Wrexham and working his way back up.

We’re jostling it out with Blackpool for James Vaughan apparently.

I presume FFP doesn't apply to League One because surely Peterborough are spennding more than they're bringing in.

Signings look very good on paper.
