We've signed Marley Watkins from Inverness. I imagine he'll mostly be playing on the wing.

I expected JFH to have better taste in players than NML.

Good luck with him. Waste of space.
Must admit I was very surprised, I know his reputation, I believe the fact he has only been offered a one year deal may be a reflection of that. Its make or break time for NML. If he can knuckle down to some hard graft JFH may be able to make something of him, I'm not sure to be honest so will wait and see.

Possibly. He said a load of shit last summer about realising it was his last chance and needing to buck up his ideas etc then he pissed it up the wall again.

I'd find it remarkable if anyone in the Football League took a chance. He's just not worth it.

And no doubt having blinders against us in both games, looking like he belongs in the premier league.

You must be really shit because he is terrible.

Sylvan Ebanks Blake confirmed as Saunders first signing. Strengthened an area we badly needed strengthening at least

I liked him, just being behind beckford and garner meant he wasnt going to get much playing time.

Good luck to him, fitness is obviously an issue but he still showed glimpses of quality.

The Shaun Whalley to Shrewsbury rumour has been confirmed today, after being released by Luton.

Bit of a strange move this. He's the sort of player that would have 1 fantastic game and then 5 very mediocre ones straight after. He was fantastic in friendlies, but as soon as it came to a competitive environment, he suddenly forgot how to beat his man. Perhaps someone who doesn't enjoy pressure.

Taking a bit of a punt on a player like Whalley is fair enough, but to give a two year contract to a player who couldn't establish himself in a Conference side or a League 2 side is just bonkers and has to be a hugely questionable decision.

Was he still at Wolves when Saunders was involved there?

If so - makes total sense.

He was a leading player in the Conference for Southport, hence us paying around £40,000 for his services. But since then, he just hasn't cut it for 46 games a season.

We're also chasing Bradley Garmston from west brom we had him on loan last season and looked a quality player

Would be happy if we could bring Garmston back, would much rather him than Matthew Briggs.

We don't know the details of the contract and lets not forget that Vincent only lasted 1 year into a 2 year contract!
The player clearly has potential as we saw when he came on as sub for Luton in the away game where he we could not deal with him down the wing, it's a case of whether we can coach some kind of positive consistency into his game.

Lets not forget wingers in general always blow hot and cold and drift in and out of games,

Little rumour around on SZ that we're in for Chris Dagnall from Orient, be a half decent signing that

Rochdale fans were slagging Alessandra off when he was linked to Bury and now they are wanking themselves silly..

How will they afford his wages on 2.5K crowds? That's Alessandra and McNulty, both coming from bigger clubs with higher wages, one has to wonder how they can afford all this?!

Alessandra will not be on big wages, that's for sure.

He's moved back up here because his family live up here.

And he's average.

Probably looked at other forwards who Hill's signed and improved - Murray, Le Fondre, O'Grady, Buckley, Done (twice), Hogan, Henderson - and thought that a move to Dale might work similarly for him. Plus of course being a local lad.

We've released Dale Jennings. Showed occasional flashes of brilliance but overall he's had a disappointing spell here. Good luck to him.
