We are getting a keeper from a PL club on loan today, rumoured to be Pontus Dahlberg from Watford

Could be a busy few days for us.

Charlie Kirk has had his release clause met by an unnamed League One club (likely to be Charlton). £400K plus significant add ons the rumoured fee.

Tommie Hoban, who we signed a month ago, apparently wants to retire to become a financial advisor. Why sign a contract if your heart isn't in it? A big blow to us as he was coming in as our first choice CB from Aberdeen. I dont know whether it's injuries, lack of motivation or something else, but it's a mess to leave it on the eve of a new season.

We're due to sign a CB from Wimbledon, Terrell Thomas is the name popping up on social media and we were linked to him a few weeks ago before we signed Hoban. Perhaps it's him?

Also should be signing winger J'Neil Lloyd Bennett on loan from Spurs next week.

Probably need another winger in on top of that and we'll be done barring any more sales. Of which one more could be very likely...

If he keeps the signing on fee then he's in the right business.

Poor for us. Tries hard and has the odd nice touch but that’s about as good as it gets.

Probably best not to ask Wednesday fans as he was apparently offered rather a lot of free lifts anywhere out of Hillsborough.

Sometimes a player just needs the right club to be the right fit to hit form. Look at Mullin. And it was hardly an easy period off the pitch at sheff wed last season. I’ll judge him when I’ve seen him for us. He’s played in the prem for Huddersfield and in the Bundesliga so he must have some ability. Let’s see if we can get more out of him than sheff wed could. Evatt has said he was one of our main targets at the beginning of the summer but was too expensive. He’s obviously dropped his demands

I think this maybe not a Evatt signing but one recommended by our performance Director who worked at Huddersfield with Wagner

Yes i will certainly give him a chance....Maybe lge 1 he will find his level

It’s easy to blame the off field problems but he was still easily one of the worst players in the squad. Miles off it. However you dress it up, 5 goals in 4 years is awful.

All 4 years at a higher level than we are at now. As I said I’ll give him a fair chance.

Sone Aluko has signed for us on a one year deal. We've also taken Louie Barry on loan from Villa. Lots of options for us in the final third now.

Michael Jacobs from Portsmouth is now all but done and will be confirmed this weekend. Coulson has not been given a squad number for Boro and will complete his move once they sort their LB shortage.

Downes is interesting Swansea, he will be allowed to move on having been relegated to the U23's.

Still no solid interest in Kayden Jackson who we are desperate to offload.

I imagine we're pretty much there now in terms of our squad. Another GK needed though so we can get rid of Holy. The squad we've assembled for League One on paper really does look like something special. The complete rebuild though means nothing is guaranteed at least in the short term.

Your team is looking incredible for this level. It could probably compete in the championship never mind league 1

We have just announced centre half Lewis Gibson on loan from Everton. Had a good spell at Fleetwood a couple of years ago but struggled at Reading playing left back.

Most of them, looked good against Newcastle but anonymous in the rest, problem for him was that we already had RW’s choices filling his position. He would have made a very good squad player but he’s not we desperately need which is an imposing Defensive midfielder, good acquisition for you guys though, better than L2 level.

Thanks DVR. Good luck to Donny this season, it will be interesting to see how Wellens does this season in league 1.

We've signed Louis Reed from Peterborough. Apparently he was on trial with you guys for a month? Did he play many pre season games?

Cheers, you too. We have a very thin squad and our preferred front 3 are all out injured so as long as we don’t get relegated I will see it as a successful season, I see plenty are predicting Swindon for the long drop into the conference, hope you escape because it ain’t easy getting back

Rovers fan here...Our best and most popular player here last season (not that that is saying much!) but he's a really good midfielder with an old head on young shoulders, committed, high energy and a good eye for goal. A lot of our fans expected him to be going to a championship club to be honest, it's gutting to see he has joined you as maybe if we had stayed up we would have been able to keep him. I'm sure he will be a success for you and enjoy him while you can.
Boom!

Sounds like we're targeting four more - GK, CB, winger (loan from the PL) and a ST.

Sam Long, who's our number two but only 18, will go out on loan for the season, hence another GK coming in. We definitely need another CB, especially with Melbourne transfer listed and likely to leave at some point.

Tea Towel , we have apparently signed Tolaji Bola from Arsenal but it has to wait until Monday to be announced, no idea why!

I know he was on trial at Wednesday and played in the first few friendlies with good reviews.

Any idea why Moore gave up on him?

He returned early from a loan at Rochdale last season so maybe he doesn't like being away from London or maybe he was poor who knows?

We managed nearly all last season without a left back once Mattock was injured so it seems odd to be getting one with so many questions against him.

Hope he can settle and show us what he can do but it's an odd one.

Cowley confirmed Jacobs to Ipswich is pretty much done. Louis Thompson should be in as 4th choice CM on pay as you play contract. Also Wales International midfielder Joe Morrell looks to be pretty much complete on a permanent deal. Ellis Harrison to Sheff Wednesday looks to be on the radar. Jacobs and Harrison both top earners and will command a fee which is needed to boost the squad. No real cover on the wings and possible a CB needed then the squad should be decent

Are you letting Harrison out on loan or a free?
Because if the club are looking for a fee Wednesday can't sign him unless their embargo has been lifted.

They've been signing players on decent wages so I assumed it was lifted. Also paid £300k to loan the Goalie.

Morrell will be a terrific signing, surprised he didn't make it with Luton. Signed by DC here but it was Appleton who got the tune out of him. I would certainly have liked him back here but fee and wages would be too rich for us.

I think the wages are part of that loan fee.
Tea Towel might know better but there's been nothing said on the local radio or press to say that the embargo has been lifted.

Wednesday can sign free agents but can’t pay a transfer fee which is a complete farce given how much they are spending on loan fees
