Scott Twine to Burnley now confirmed. Good move for him in Kompany's rebuild.

As always with us, undisclosed fee but seems to be between £4m & £5m plus add-ons.

Good luck Scotty.

Caleb Watts signs on loan from Southampton, a midfielder of some sort.
Just saw this.

Caleb signed for us on loan last season. Came off the bench for his first game, lasted 20 minutes, did his hamstring and returned to Southampton.

20 minutes is nowhere near long enough to give a true assessment but he did look pretty good in a defensive midfield role.

Crawley had one of those terrible seasons where players were going down with injuries and illness like nine pins so I wouldn't count that injury against him.

Defender Ciaron Brown signs for us on a 2 year deal. Did pretty well on loan with us last season so happy with this.

Sounds like we're having to resort to anyone who is a free as the owners are refusing to give Cowley a bean to spend. Gone from Hirst, Whitaker, Joseph or Liam Cullen and having the cheek to ask for them for free to going for Barnsley forward? Victor Adeboyejo on a free.

Probably your owners trying to squeeze some extra cash from fans having his name on the back of the shirts :bg:
We had him on loan actually although his stay wasn't really memorable, and I was surprised to see him making Championship appearances for Barnsley last season.

We had him on loan and was woeful. I can’t believe he got game time in the championship.

Not a tranfser as such but on our forum it's saying Shaun Howl has joined us from Cheltenham as head of performance analysis. I don't even know what that means, is it football? fitness? how many weetabix they eat for breakfast?

It's all very complicated nowadays :fl:

It can mean different things at different clubs, but in essence performance analysis is reviewing the match footage and stats, and working out what individual players/the team as a whole did well and what they could improve on.

Were the forwards pressing the opposition defenders at the right moments? Were the right runs made at set-pieces? Were the passing patterns worked on during training executed correctly in the game?…and so on.

quite correct and we are fortunate enough to have Chris Markham who is every bit as important to the club as Ian Evatt

We’re hoping for two signings in the coming days.

Looks like they’re Julian Dacosta from Coventry and Tom Bayliss from Preston. Bayliss was bought from Coventry for 2 million only 3 seasons ago so that looks promising.

We’ve already got Marko Marosi & Jordan Shipley, add in these two and we’ll have 4 of the title winning Coventry team from 2020. Obviously they haven’t signed yet but it’s looking very promising if they do for the season ahead.

I'd swerve Bayliss completely, the guy has zero drive or heart. He'll just float between clubs doing the bare minimum for the rest of his career I think.

Rory Holden to train with us in a bid to get a deal and get fit, if we can get him fit he is a cracking player, main worry though is having two attacking midfielders returning from long term injury in Conlon and Holden.

Players just suit certain clubs better than others. Maybe the pressure of a big money move at a young age affected him? Maybe, maybe not. Of course there’s utter shit footballers at this level which you question how they’re even a professional player let alone being on a few thousand a week in the 3rd tier of English football. However, I can’t help but think this lad must have something about him considering he left a League 1 champions winning team for 2 million just three seasons ago.

I did think the same about Sam Cosgrove mind and he’s one of the worst strikers I’ve ever seen since watching Salop.

It was about £1.2m but he's still a prime contender for our worst ever signing based on outlay and return. Hard not to feel aggrieved.

Don't think he was part of Coventry's promotion winning side at this level, think we signed him after their first season back.

Maybe he'll realise he's a waster and kick on, but I've heard from numerous people that he's just happy to pick up a wage and not play. We have another one like that in Josh Harrop too.

On a free and a low wage, he might be worth a gamble but I'd hope it's not a long term deal.

We’ll most likely hand out a three year deal or failing that a two year deal with the clubs option of a third. Never seem to hand out small contracts these days.

Looks like he’s signed as the club asked our new signing Jordan Shipley a question about Tom Bayliss before quickly deleting.

Yeah, I saw that, think it's been common knowledge over the weekend. Seems like we paid up his contract on Friday.

Luke McNally off to Burnley. Fee is close to £2 million.

Huge potential. But decent business given he’s had essentially half a season of professional football.

Tom Bayliss announced on a two year deal to become our second summer signing.

Another 6/7 signings and we’re good to go.

Local journo says Victor is not close to joining. Think its just agents putting names out. We still only have 1 senior GK who isn't fancied, 1 RB and 0 senior forwards going into our first pre season on Saturday

Mikel Miller signing this afternoon.

I was very surprised we did not offer Mikel another year TBH.

His fitness was a problem at times, but when he played he was a stand out performer in many games.

He is decent at tracking back and can beat defenders with ease.
I liked him and wish him all the best. Once a Miller always a Miller especially Mickel.

Liam Bridcutt has now departed, which is no surprise. I suspect our offer included a big pay cut for someone who was probably a top, or the top, earner. In any event, no point him being here if we can't get more than 15/20 games a season out of him. Brilliant when fit and made us a far better side.

We've also signed the brilliantly named CM Tashan Oakley-Booth on a season long loan from Stoke.

Some serious surgery required in CM because it was shocking last season and even worse now with losing McGrandles (and Bridcutt to a point).

Interesting that he seemed to play left wing back a lot for you. We already have 2.

We've signed lwb Harry Boyes on a season long loan from Sheff Utd. Did well on loan at Solihull Moors last season apparently. Press release also confirms he'll get the no.11 shirt, Cadden's old number. Big boots to fill.
