You looked very decent last season and havent lost any key players so maybe you dont need that many more anyway
I see it's been rumoured that you might be in for McCormick at Wimbledon. I think he still has 2 year's left on his contract.Another reason I have my doubts about it happening is that we will have to give Chelsea 50%of any transfer fee received. So you would probably have to offer a million to have any chance of getting him. He was ok last season but I expected a bit more from him.

Some of our fans are going mad about him but Im personally not bothered and definitely wouldnt want to spend any significant fee for him.
He was great for us in L1 in his debut season, one shining light in a piss poor team. Im sure we would have offered him something to stay last season but chose yourselves presumably to stay local, but I wonder if he is regretting that now.
We have other irons in the fire anyway with Camps so id rather avoid Macca.

Talk to me about Cian Harries Rovers fans?
Came to us with lots of potential and talk of a ball playing CB. He ended up being a ball watching liability.
Got absolutely mullered at Oldham away last season and was never seen again.
Scored a beauty in the first game v Mansfield but thats as good as it got. Seems like a good kid though was always seen celebrating goals without being involved.
Good luck!

We have signed keilor dunn from Oldham. Scored 17 last season for them in a struggling team.
Hopefully a good signing.
Plus brayford has signed for another year - that is like another signing. He chips in with 7-10 goals a season as well.

Looked a good player when we played Oldham last season. Think he’ll thrive around better players as well.

Well we defo won't be offering or paying 1million. I think so far this window we have spent 250 to 300 K on two players (total ) and I would think this amount would be our limit. So max amount we would offer would be in the region of 200K.

We had a sell-on in the Jorge Grant from Posh to Hearts deal. Not sure what the sell-on or fee was but Posh were asking for £750k .

Solid L1 midfielder. Presumed he was heading to Scotland but his Sat Nav must be on the blink. Lots of energy and gets around the pitch well. Our midfield last season was pretty poor to put it politely and he as the experienced head had to shoulder a lot of responsibility but his form suffered. I would have liked him to have stayed as he was a grafter but our midfield needs an overhaul as it was our weak point without Bridcutt or when injured someone to anchor the midfield. Not Championship standard and won't score lots of goals or assists but a workhorse.

January - wants to move back to Scotland in the summer.
June - moves three hours further south to London.

I'd class him as a niggly midfielder in the sense that he's not a sitting, break up play kinda one, he's there to get in and around it. Fairly decent on the ball, won't score or create much but he'll be 7/10 every week. The kind of steady midfield player every side needs to allow the better forward players to do their thing.

Very good here in his first season, pretty below par last season albeit had to carry the midfield on his own at times.

Good for a yellow card as well, think he managed 15 last season!

We’re very similar in the sense that our midfield needs an overhaul and freshening up.

Glad we’ve got the workhorse type player, still need a goal scoring midfielder and we’re good to go with Dobson at DM.

Surprised to see him end up in London after wanting to move back to Scotland. He did struggle last season without a consistent midfield around him, and could remember so many times he lost the ball in dangerous positions which really put us under pressure. However i really rate him and wish him all the best!

Ipswich fans…

Armando Dobra apparently on his way to us, unsure if it’s going to be a permanent or a loan.

What’s he like as a player, what positions can he play and how do you think he’d get on in the National League?

£1m for Macca?

For a midfielder in his 2 seasons in L1 he’s been relegated in both?

Personally I’m not too bothered with him. He was great for us but we were awful that year. I would prefer him over Camps though.

Lincoln to struggle this season?
At the minute, yes. We've got glaring holes that need filling in the squad i.e. a senior GK and a full central midfield as examples. Midfield is the biggy, it needs/needed a complete overhaul and contributed heavily to our poor season last year because it was pretty much non-existent.

We've actually got some semi-decent players, mind - Jackson, Walsh, Poole, Hopper, Scully, Montsma and Bishop are all solid L1 players so there's a good core of a starting XI here already (if they're all available...).

That's obviously not even taking into account a new Head Coach with basically no experience in the role, new assistant, another first team coach has stepped up from the academy having had a dual role managing Gainsborough Trinity last season.

The Chairman/Board clearly didn't think much to the physio, sports science and conditioning side of the Club because he got rid of them (one is now at Port Vale).

All the above said, given that we finished 17th last season with the amount of injuries generally, the amount of injuries to key players through the spine of the team (not sure Walsh, Bridcutt or Hopper even played 15 games each), a disrupted pre-season because of MA's illness, poor home form, hardly scoring, not being able to win against bottom third sides, MA and the Club deciding to part ways as far back at early March, I can't imagine us being worse in terms of performances this season than last once the squad is complete (famous last words...!). Whether that translates to a better league position, we'll see!

JFC, Gilbey, Aneke, Fraser and McGrandles… are there any other central players that we’ve had in the last decade that Charlton want?
I have just seen Sorinola has been loaned to Swansea FFS. I know hes not our player now but it does rankle a bit.

Very Paul Scholes in terms of tackling, he can't lol!
Trebling his wages apparently, good luck to him.
Sure that the usual suspects will be moaning and the same people who constantly want Alex Woodyard back even though he wanted to leave.

On the three players you mention Luke, Hopper played 22, Bridcutt 15 and Walsh 13.
Not sure about the experienced keeper bit as IMHO we have two competent youngsters and after playing most of last season with Griffiths who was 20 and incredibly green at times IMHO probably not helped by the constantly changing back four, I'd stick with what we've got there.
Definitely need midfield although again we have a youngster who really played even during the injury crisis.
Last season was a vary strange season for sure.

Lincoln to struggle this season?
As Luke says looking at the squad possibly
Our two major problems last season were midfield and a huge number of injuries.
Bridcutt was our highest earner and played 15 times and another big earner in Walsh played 13 and neither played a game together, no wonder we struggled all season.
Appleton was baffling at times had players on three year deals and didn't use them even though we had 3 or 4 players on the bench at times, big rumours him and the head of recruitment fell out.
Thankfully it's only football and there are far bigger things than Lincoln City to worry about in my life, even if we're shit it's an afternoon escape from everything else going on. Few pints and it's soon forgotten or something else was used being used by a group of your fans I encountered at the station after the game
Granted they weren't the only ones...

Striker Aiden O'Brien joins on a two year deal.

Pompey apparently couldn't afford his wage demands. Seems like we're going for it this season. Once again, happy with this signing!
