I do rather agree about Morrison. I no longer work with his friend, but I don’t think I’d ask them anyway. It will all come out in the wash.

I think we can have up to 8 loanees but only 5 can be in the Matchday squad. Personally I doubt we’d go to six as means one will always be unhappy. If Morgan ever does come back, I am assumed it will be in the summer, which yesterday Schuey implied was his hope.
Sign Morrison, get him fit by end of Jan, then send Lonwijk back, then re sign Whittaker on loan using Lonwijk's space after no one has come in for him with a view to buy in summer?:whistle:

We can dream eh

Or maybe McGuiness :whistle::fish:

it would not surprise me if some of the excitement alluded to includes contract extensions of existing players. Coops for instance would be very big news.

Great fishing, the issue is Cardiffs embargo so doubtful they'd sell him anywhere as they can't use the funds to replace

There is not a cat in hell’s chance he is coming to us. We’ve been through the ringer re Morgan, and just wanted to share the love :)

Osula has gone back to Sheffield United. I feel like he'll be back at this level before the end of the window. He's an handy player, extremely direct, but lacks the technical ability to really kick on. He reminds me a little of Theo Robinson during his time at Derby, feel like he will carve out a fairly reasonable career at this level without ever threatening the higher divisions.

Burton and Oxford have been mentioned in passing.
I liked the look of him when he came on at our place(warnes first game I think) big, strong and direct with a decent amount of skill, under bonners stewardship I’d like to think he’d make him better.

that was broadly what he said a while back. he clearly did know as he consistently got things right and he was the only one. I know as a fan you want such snippets, but I am also pleased that most of our signings are bolts from the blue.
Yeah fans only need to know when the deal is done. ITK peeps can seriously threaten signings by making things public.
Our news is kept so tight these days we didnt even know Paul Coutts was injured until he rocked up at the Mem on crutches.

We used to leak everything out, nothing was ever a surprise but that changed with DF and DC, now all the rumours tend to be wrong and we dont know who is signing until holding a scarf up... as for injuries, as you probably know, its not worth asking DC about those!

We tried to get him in the summer, and it seems odd that the Seasiders have sold him so quickly. The rumour that keeps swirling around is that Mayor won’t renew in the summer, taking one last big pay day from Wrexham. So the current thought process is that Wright is the long term replacement for Danny.
That’s terrible news.

Left Wing Back Harry Boyes joins on loan from Sheffield United, he was previously on loan at FGR earlier this season.

Currently we have Sean Roughan a young player who is more of a CB and Jamie Robson who hasn't really worked so it will be nice to have a more attacking left wing, it'll also help the winger in front of him. I'd expect to see Robson move back north of the border during this window.

Lots of noise re Matt Jay leaving this month - Colchester mentioned.

He’s not made the step up to L1 too well, but to be fair to him, he’s not been given a huge run of games so who knows.

36 goals in 2 seasons from attacking midfield says he’d be an excellent signing for someone in L2. Sadly for him we’ve just signed an attacking midfielder so he’s even less likely to get games and the offer of a good deal elsewhere would be too good to turn down, I imagine.

Well we’ve just signed Jamie Robson off you. What’s he like?

I would rate him as 'meh' but maybe I'm just been a bit harsh. We've been blessed with good left backs in the past 5 or so years - Habergham, Toffolo and Tayo Edun and Robson is not in the latter two's class and it's right to get him sold.

He would have joined as a straight left back but after a couple of months we changed to a 5 with wing-backs. I just don't think he particularly settled. He's not particularly attacking and gets targeted by some due to his size. He also gave away a stinking penalty away at Shrewsbury this season. For me he just never got going and doesn't seem to excel in anything in particular. As you know some players just click at certain clubs and certain managers, Robson didn't here. Hope we were able to recoup some of the fee that we paid out for him.

Edited to say I can't remember a single goal or an assist certainly this season and maybe last season as well.

Just checked on Wiki and it says Robson is 5ft 8ins, which strikes me as a bit on the short side for a defender...mind you we had a midfielder called Kieron Forbes who wasn't particularly tall and he could out-jump players way taller than himself, so maybe I'm being a bit harsh before seeing him play.

Yeah opposition will target him with diagonals. Poole will have a field day against him when we visit yourselves.

Rumours linking Cambridge with our attacking midfielder Jack Lambert - 14 goals and 12 assists this season, but big step up from NLN to Div 1.
I saw some Twitter rumours on that but have you heard it from a source locally? We need more goals from midfield so makes sense. What’s he like?

Sounds like we’re signing Steve Seddon on loan from Oxford.

Agree entirely with this. Its not worked for him as a wing back, so makes sense to move him on. He's been pushed put by a 19 year old, and the glimpses we have seen him, he seems far too lightweight. I dont think you'll find a lincoln fan gutted he's gone. Good luck to him!

Could he form a decent partnership down our left with Garrick? Think both played there against us for Lincoln earlier this season?

Who knows different clubs, different managers. Neither fired whilst here and we needed to cut losses with the pair of them.
