Never heard of the lad until about 20 minutes ago but left footed and seems like a big unit so it would appear to be the Connor Hall replacement.

I've heard of him but cant remember why!

The only thing I can think of is that he's signing when his contract with Palace expires on 30th June.
Assuming it's still a thing, and I'm 99.9% sure it is, players are entitled to a further month of pay if they haven't signed for another one by June 30th so maybe a technicality around that.

Curtis Nelson has signed signed on a two year deal. Pleased with that signing - the type of defender who gets himself on everything and should do really well at this level. It seems like one more spot left for our back three/five - I’d assume it’s Bradley but guess we will wait and see. Wes Harding is another one with merit.

It’s looking, at least I’m hoping, it’s a defence that won’t give up much change at this level. Next the attackers. Linked to Washington today but I’m not a fan, personally, not to say he can’t do a job at this level but I’m hoping for much better players than him.

Aidan Stone has left to join Notts County. Surprised and out the blue but he was statistically the worst keeper last season and if we can get a better back up then thats all good.

Alex Lacovitti has joined from Ross County, ex Forest and than a few clubs in L2 so dont know a great deal about him but seems a tall defender which we need!

*Iacovitti not Lacovitti.

Big strong lad, decent on the floor and reasonably quick. Most memorable moment for us was an injury time winner v Crewe during our first season in the EFL. Turned out to be a pretty big goal given we stayed up by a point.

Sounds just what we need, not after anything stellar but a big bloke at the back so we can defend set pieces better and compete physically which let us down last season and a bit of pace.

Heard he is a massive shithouse so should be a nightmare with him and Nathan Smith pinching and winding them up!

iacovetti sounds good, crying out for another battler at the back to partner smith and i feel sorry for league one forwards next season if he turns out to be half the shithouse that smithy is.

the stone one is out of the blue but sounds like a connor hall situation to me - player wants to move for whatever reason and we don't stand in his way. would have been good back up in my view and wish him very well at notts, but hey ho, we move on with ripley and hopefully a promising young understudy.

Am I right in thinking our Youth keeper is the one thats been called into the Northern Ireland U20's?

It’s basically irrelevant at that level. We’ve signed Stone because we don’t think our own young ‘keeper is ready to be part of a senior two competing for the shirt yet and he’s the Republic of Ireland u21s’ first choice. They really struggle for players of any standard I think.

Looks like we have won the race for Keanu Baccus Australian International from St Mirren
Wont be a better signing in this league this summer if true
Seem to be getting a reaction about this player and what i said.............Will he get 20 plus goals ....no
Will he be the one easy on the eye....again no
What he will be is the glue which holds the team together......The Bastard we have needed the last 5/6 seasons
Will cruise playing in league 1......Only last week he was one of the better players in a Argentina/Australia game
Played in last seasons world cup finals and a very good Scottish Premier league player......St Mirren fans cannot believe he is going to lge1 and for under a 7 figure fee

Are you OK with signing ex-City players?
Depends on who the player is really. Bristol City fans probably don't remember much about him and we only do from his wiki page. We have had others like Lee Matthews, David Clarkson, Akinde (pen) and Danny Coles who played for us after them. I don't think there were any issues with any of them apart from Akinde but that was mainly because he was useless

I really liked Lee Matthews but to say he was made of glass would be unfair on glass.

I saw him in the Bristol nightclubs on many occasions. He was a city player at the time but had great banter with me and my mates. Probably could have had a better career if he stayed away from the beers

Wigan players trying to exit their contracts?

Us and loads of other Championship clubs are linked with Whatmough. Good player, questionable injury record.

Jonathan Grounds has turned down a contract and left.
Did a job for us, particularly in the promotion season but wasn't a regular starter so maybe he wants to eek out his career somewhere lower.
Still no news on Archie Collins or Josh Key, presume they will need to find somewhere soon to start training

Grounds leaving is fine…Solid player but would have been a 15-20 game player next season.

But it does mean our squad is even more threadbare, so more signings needed soon! Re Key and Collins, now they’ve not turned up for training, they’re 100% leaving. But as you say, they really need to get something sorted soon so they can hit the ground running particularly if either are stepping up a level.

Surprised he hasn’t gone back to Barnsley, he seemed to do well for them by what I saw in the playoffs.

I guess location and lifestyle, it’s a no brainier to go to Charlton over Barnsley but still surprising all the same.

Signed Dan Nlundulu on a permanent deal.

Bit out the blue this one, but good to see.

Full pre-season under him, he can flourish!

Keanu Baccus and Kane Wilson medicals done, gonna be announced early next week.

Top two league spots for the upcoming season looking very achievable at this stage.

Hope you are right, he was diabolical in the play off semi final and only scored one goal ( a good one though) in his entire loan spell,, injury prone and utterly average last term

Capable of the sublime, but inconsistent and far from a team player.

I could see how a manager can see the potential in him, but he strikes me as the sort of player who's going to keep slowly heading down the pyramid until he's in the Conference and everyone's wondering just how he ended up there when he does something amazing once in a blue moon.

Cambridge and Shrewsbury fans - Shilow Tracey, will he be any good in League Two?
Yes. I liked him a lot in the early days - very pacy and I felt he had a lot of potential. For some reason though he went backwards massively in the season just gone, was pretty ineffectual whenever he played.

Previously in league one and two he was a danger, scored a few (not loads) of goals and put the opposition on the back foot by being aggressive and direct.

Dropping back to league 2 could be the thing to reignite his career. I hope so.

Nlundulu has clearly got himself a great agent!
Was really excited when we signed him from the Saints. Southampton fans said he could be a real threat given game time. Alas he was pretty poor for us and in 21 game involvements managed 1 entire goal.

3 year contract!? As mentioned, he must have a miraculous agent.
