Nothing like a goal against Congleton Town to really impress another League 1 club.

On 18 July 2011 Tottenham Hotspur confirmed they had signed Coulibaly beating off the advances of a host of leading European clubs including Real Madrid and Manchester United following his golden boot-winning performance at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup.

Soli' scored for the Tottenham Hotspur XI on his debut against Brighton and Hove Albion in Algarve.
Coulibaly then scored twice in a 7–1 win for Spurs youth over Inter Milan in their second group game of the NextGen Tournament on 31 August 2011. He also opened the scoring in their third group game away at PSV Eindhoven, where they won 2–1.

He scored nine of his side's ten goals overall, which meant that he scored every 40 minutes of match time,

As a result of his performances, Coulibaly was linked in the media to moves to Manchester United and Real Madrid, before finally moving to Tottenham

The glaring, pressing issue is why the fuck is he at Crewe

however

Sounds like we are signing another midfielder signing in the next 24hrs, likely to be David Fox although the Lundstram deal isnt completly dead (more than probably signing for Wigan)

Cue Port Vale intrest in Fox.

Donny fans, what was Fabien Robert like for you on loan? Was impressed with him yesterday as a triallist.

I like most other Donny fans would piggyback him to the KM had loads of talent and potential with us, got a very good player if he signs for you.

Why has the rumours section turned into a second Vale/Crewe **** off?
Wouldn't be so bad if either were any good and not going to spend the entire season doing fuck all of note.

Bit like San Marino v Faroe Islands

Bury have signed Danny Pugh on a one year deal.

They like signing our old players:

Nathan Cameron
Danny Pugh
Leon Clarke
Chris Hussey
Peter Clarke

Seems we've agreed a deal with Fox but Lundstram has always been our top target and it now looks like he's not going Wigan.

With this being Crewe, it probably means Fox gets pissed off with being messed about and Lundstram gets offered more money elsewhere, and we get neither.

YAY WEVE FINALLY OFFICIALLY MADE A SIGNING AND YOULL BE SOOOO JEALOUS. YES, THATS RIGHT, WEVE SIGNED......

...Diego De Girasomethingortheother after he turned down a contract initially to resign fro us...then realised the rumours of Juventus being intereseted in him were not going to materialise and nor did a contract at the end of his trial with Bournemouth so now he's resigned for us...

Am happy with this IF he can refind his potential pre-injury but his spells at Northampton & York last season don't fill me with loads of conifdence.

Martyn Woolford linked, dont know much about him!?

Adkins likes him. Wide left man who can dribble at speed, has a good shot and an eye for space and a pass. Spent the last few seasons in the Championship with Sunny, Bristol C and Millwall. Released after Millwall's relegation. Haven't seen him for a few seasons, but if he is still on form, then a good signing for L1 level. Spent several seasons in non-league before we brought him into L1.

Would be a good signing for anyone at this level and still very surprised we let him go. Very hard working and covers an awful lot of ground as well as being relatively high scoring for a wide man. More tricky than pacey and wants to join the forwards rather than hanging out wide and putting crosses in. Seems to have a really good attitude and remains fairly popular with our fans. Pace aside, has everything you would want from a wideman at this level. Was strongly linked with Leeds last January, so may have Championship interest.

Can he play on the right? The thinking is that he may be Flynn's replacement and back-up to Murphy on left-wing?

Personally, I doubt it. Mainly because he's completely left footed, but then again he might be capable of cutting inside. I don't know though as he only ever played on the left with us

Wouldn't you prefer Murphy up front with Done, plenty of skill and pace to have a go at defenders? I'd like to think Adkins is a bit more advanced in his thinking than having a bit lump (ref. Higdon) up top. If we do get Woolford, hopefully his role will be to beat his man and cross balls in early for strikers to run on to, as opposed to the end of Clough idea of turn back and pass ineffectually for a bit longer.
