Seems like we have either a 15% or 20% sell on, on the Stansfield deal. So very good business for us too, which should see us progress during the next couple of seasons.

He’ll smash it there and fair play to Birmingham for getting the deal done. Crazy money but fair play.

He’ll also get an amazing reception at SJP before he, of course, scores in front of the Big Bank.

Where on earth are Wycombe finding this kinda money from?!

Um...that would be our new shiny billionaire owner, I expect.

But anyway, we didn't get Wiredu - instead we get:

Caleb Taylor - loan CB from West Brom - has played at this level on loan to Cheltenham a couple of seasons back, then at Bolton last season

Shamal George - GK from Livingston - permanent signing for whom we paid a fee, Matt Bloomfield had the guy previously in the 5 minutes that he was managing Colchester

If the poppadoms are included, that's not a bad deal!

Honestly, I can't believe it took everyone several pages before the hilarious Mo Faal jokes started - sounds like hot stuff, bet he'll curry favour with the fans, etc etc.

Must try harder.

The one position everyonr has been shouting out is LWB and we've just signed Saxon Earley from Plymouth on season loan. I remember him previously, it seems another great signing

Would love to tell you if he was any good, since he was on loan with us, but we signed him broken and he never got fixed enough to play for us...

Brum spend £10-£15mil on a player and there's me worrying that £220k was a bit steep for Will Swan.

Oh well all the shenanigans over until January. Now it's coaching and luck that are the most important things.

Also bizarrely, within a month of signing Harrison Biggins from Doncaster on a two year deal, we’ve sent him out on loan to Carlisle. No idea what’s going on at the club at the minute.
Rather awkward situation:;

From the BBC:

“Shrewsbury have apologised to fans that there is an extended player feature interview with Biggins in Saturday's match programme for the Leyton Orient home game.”

I had to check no one had, low hanging fruit.

And my curry of choice, because I'm hard, and my dad has a bigger TV than yours.

FACTS.

£15m for a player in league one is outrageous. He will obviously be ridiculously good at this level but the recruitment strategy seems chaotic. Davies is going to have a real job on his hands managing the egos, with the sheer volume of quality players signed they’re going to have a fair few not happy sitting on the bench.

Alfie May has 3 in 3 and surely now is relegated to the bench unless they can find a way to squeeze him and Stansfield in the same team

It's a monumental improvement for Stanno, 20 months ago he was being kept out of the side by Jevani Brown..

The thought of Alfie May sitting on the bench fills me with glee

Overall a decent window for us, the money we got for Rudoni covered it all and still have a few million left over from that. We had Joe Taylor and Alfie May at our training ground and couldn’t close the deal on either , not necessarily our fault but time will tell how costly that is.

Shifted the 3 strikers we needed to and brought a new one in. Successful day for us and the squad looks perfectly balanced in all areas now.

Think we've room to register one more player so likely that'll be Josh Adam on a free.

If we sign Adam he won't take up a squad place as he's under 21

Leaves us a space for someone in Jan without having to shift someone then. Parky likes a little gamble on an older free transfer doesn't he, Dave Jones, Foster, Fletcher etc so maybe there's someone out there he's looking at.

If you turned down £1m for Adeboyejo then someone wants their head testing in Bolton.

Yes and I stand by it, they finish above you because they have a top a manager. You spend a lot of money but are currently backing the wrong manager.
Agree with most you have put here, but still do not see Charlton above us.....If Evatt is not in the top 6 at Christmas he should and he will be gone.
The Adeboyejo one is strange. Why have we stated we have turned a 7 figure fee for him, instantly putting pressure on Evatt if we did not have a rabbit to pull out the hat, that rabbit being Turkey
Still reckon Adeboyejo will be gone in the next 10 days

What a window for us, we have addressed the squad depth issue and on paper looks to be filled with decent replacements once injuries and suspensions kick in.

The forwards and midfielders being injured really hamstrung our push for the play offs last season once Skubala got his feet under the table and now we have a much bigger squad with genuine cover should that nightmare scenario happen again.

Bringing in Bailey Cadamarteri, Eric Ring from Sweden and then Saxon Earley this past week or so has filled in most of the areas where we needed to add and strengthen.

Also keeping hold of Ethan Erhahon who is without doubt one of the best holding midfielders in the league is a huge plus after losing Jensen and Sorensen before the season started.

Can we go one step further and actually get into the top 6 when all the shouting has finished!? It’s still going to be hard with all the other clubs and crazy amounts being splashed around as if it were Monopoly money.

Birmingham spending in all fairness has been outside any normal league one transfer window, but in the picture it is not overbearing or putting the club at risk. Next season they will be hampered with what they can spend and will have ffp Restrictions.......Forward thinking by using their one season in lge1 to rebuild and have a team that will challenge the top of the championship next season. Not convinced Stansfield will score more than May, but Birmingham have bought Stansfield for the future.
Wrexham owners may watch how Birmingham go about business in the next two seasons and follow that blue print it is the only way they will now progress but with Wrexham they have no infrastructure so they will have to invest way more than Birmingham to advance.
Like it or lump it some clubs that get relegated from the cash cow that is the Championship are going to blow the rest of league one out of the water each season

Nlundulu looks like a prime Drogba against the likes of Man Utd U12's in the Papa Johns Trophy. Really strange signing by us we literally had him on loan before hand he was always injured during the loan or just coming on for cameos where he'd do nothing. Then Evatt decided to actually spend real money on him coming out with BS like he could be be the next Ivan Toney. I mean I hope Cambridge can turn him into something so we can recoup a bit of the money back we pissed on him, glad Iredale has gone too bang average or always injured also. Morley on the other hand I think will do well for Wycombe.

Had really high hopes when N’Lundulu signed for us but sadly it never worked out, scoring rate of 1 in 16 for us I believe. Don’t think he has done much better anywhere else since then so it’s a strange signing for Cambridge.

Late incoming for Crawley. Bradley Ibrahim. A season long loan from Hertha BSC. 19 year old midfielder come centre back. Once of QPR and Arsenal.

He will join up with us next week.

Exciting prospect it says here.

Turns out that Danny Mandroiu didn't even want to talk about a new contract here and has ended up back at Shamrock in the LOI on a 6-month contract so that move he probably thought he deserved didn't materialise.

Teddy Bishop, who we put a more performance related contract in front of because of his injury issues, decided he wanted to look around as well so we signed Tom Bayliss instead.

Bartonyellow, the Hamer deal was classed as undisclosed in the media but our DoF did an interview last night and said it was a free transfer.

Clough said today we actually had a club record fee rejected for someone this week, no idea who that is.

DKD made clear soon as he returned to pre-season he wanted to leave, the fee will end up being a club record after add ons come in.

Also a chance we sign a free agent before Wednesday which is the cut off for the squad registration.

Edit - seem it was Dan Crowley we bid for.

It's going to be the graveyard shift at Field Mill most weeks if today's tactics are anything to go by. I was really impressed by Mansfield's physicality and workrate. But it would be a tough sell to an exciting attacking player.

Today is not what you want to go by, as I’m sure you are aware. Completely goes against every other game this season. Means must with so many out injured, plus adapting without DKD will take a few games to tweak.

We will score a load again this season, I’m not worried about that, Cloughies teams always do. Defending our goal I’m concerned about.

Rumours going around the ground that Muhammadu Faal has been binned due to a "bad attitude" and Ricardo Gonzalez has been sent back to Bournemouth as well.

Who's missing today attacking wise for you though? I get Flint was out and is your best defender. Keillor-Dunn is a loss but he's been sold, he's not injured and not coming back.

Has all the hallmarks of a grind. But you'll do plenty well enough, today was not an easy game to dominate by any stretch for us. There were many facets to your play that made it our hardest game yet. But I can't see it being champagne football.
