Four departures today from LN5, albeit only two of any note.

Jack Vale back to Blackburn after his loan deal was cut short. Joined injured, completely underwhelming when fit and didn't get going at all. The Luke Plange of this season for his complete none contribution.

Mide Shodipo signed in October on a short term deal a week or two before Kennedy was sacked. He was under-used in my opinion and should have made more appearances than he did over that time given others who had far more minutes.

Then a couple of younger lads have departed - one at the expiry of a youth contract and another has decided to go to America to study and play.

We've recalled Freddie Draper from Walsall.

In one respect I'm a little surprised because I thought it'd be later in the window if we decided to and see who else we could bring in but on the flip side of the coin, our Xmas form and general lack of anything was alarming so it makes sense to get him back in the building if that's what we were edging towards anyway.

He's had an excellent 2023 on loan at Drogheda (9 goals) in Ireland and then Walsall (10 in 19) and chipped in with assists as well so an 18, now 19, year old scoring 19 in a calendar year in mens football isn't to be sniffed at.

We've not seen *that* much of him in a Lincoln shirt but he's got great reviews during both his loan spells. Certainly looks like has the physicality for first team football at a young age. saddler78 will have seen him more than us Lincoln lot.

Depends on the recall date as I believe most loans have a day agreed when the recall has to happen by.

Rumours from the Ipswich end that alot of the League Ones big hitters are eyeing up our on loan midfielder Idris El Mizouni and maybe trying to buy him.

Was outstanding for us last season in League Two, not been as impressive with the step up so far this season, but he is still a good player learning his trade at this level.

Would be a blow for us to lose him, he very much glues our midfield together.

He's out of contract in the summer though, so some clubs may wait to see if they can get him for nothing then.

The big hitters…and us, thank you very much.

So no chance of him coming here…although Matt Bloomfield did coach Ipswich kids so has contacts at the club. But ultimately £££ will talk the loudest.

Rumours abound of Garrity to Bolton.
Crosby says he’s injured.
We’ll see.
I wouldn’t blame the lad, hope we get more than 300k they’ve (allegedly) offered.

If we take 300k then I’d be livid, although does seem like a long term injury.

One doing the round inbound is Dan Gore on loan to replace Ollie.

Not sure how true, but read we might be in for a double Vale swoop of Conlon and Cass. What we saying?

Conlon particularly seems likely as think we were close to signing him in the summer but he got injured as it was going through.

They’re both most likely on their way. Not making the squad at all. Think it was touched on a page or two back but in summary

Conlon - Very good midfielder, dominated at L2 before his achilles injury. Not been the same since albeit that’s in L1. Takes a very good free kick but knock on him is he’s very left footed.

Cass - Good L2 defender. Can play all roles on the right, probably best at RCB and given license to come forward. I like him and frankly would have him in the squad now over a couple of others.

I’m sold, we’re just gagging for some depth, squad is absolutely tiny. Cass sounds like he might be good on the right of our back three though, a position that’s up for grabs and our defenders don’t really do much defending anyway (assuming the new manager carries on as was).

They’d certainly be useful options to call upon. Conlon does have an aggressive streak to him as well and isn’t shy of leaving one in on an opponent. Can only go off the highlights show but seems you’ve been having the same issues with Stone that we did to compound it at the back i.e. he just doesn’t stop anything that’s on target.

He’s not been great but, to be fair to the man, he is often left as the only line of defence, let alone the last one.

Interesting. We’re okay for midfielders atm but a proper goal-scoring CM wouldn’t go amiss.

From what Crosby says Garrity is out long term injured now. Didn’t look good when hobbled down the tunnel at Carlisle so would say it’s probably legit. If we accepted £300k that would be ridiculous from the club given he’s still got another year on his deal. I’d be wanting at least double that.

Josh Onomah in on trial with us.

He was still playing Premier League football last season.

Reignite his career and he could be extremely useful between now and May.

We may have tried to get him a couple month ago but apparently he was not arsed about playing football because he is a millionaire now after being on a Premier league wage so was happy just sitting on his arse without a club. That's if it was him of course.

Would be an excellent signing for you though if he's arsed playing.

Another one involving you is we may be interested in Josh Gordon.
I will drive him down the 38 for you. Not worked for us, but in fairness we have not give him any service. Hard to say if he is any good.
Word is Cole Stockton is off. If I was you I’d bid on him. He could get you the play offs. We never gave him the service; nor played him so he wants out.

He needs the ball to his feet. He can be lazy and mardy too. Very skilful and has a great eye. Not played enough for us to judge his abilities- Morecambe fans will know more. We have screwed him over really, and so he is on the bench or “injured”
He has said he wants out - so it is reported. The only way he stays is if we get a new manager who moulds a team round him.
Apparently on 7k a week.

How can you afford £7k a week?
