CB Alex Hartridge signs from Exeter.

Reactions from Devon seem to vary between:

"He's too good for Wycombe, what the fuck's he doing signing for them"

and

"He's mediocre so he's perfect for Wycombe".

So not sure what to think really.

My take on Alex Hartridge is that he’s got the potential to play in the Championship should he iron out some key issues. For me, his biggest problem is he can switch off and lose concentration which sometimes leads to conceding. I also think he needs to work on his distribution.

That said, he’s a proper athlete, is quite quick and will put his body in front of everything. He’s also left footed which is helpful when balancing your defence. He’s also young so should improve plenty in the future.

Overall Wycombe have signed a decent player and wish him all the best.

Probably needed a fresh start, wasn't getting in the side at the end after a few too many mistakes.

Will probably be awesome for Wycombe now.

Zak Jules has apparently decided to leave on a free. He’s a much bigger loss than Hartridge to be fair as he’s been consistently really good for us this season.

Fully expect him to move to a decent L1 club, probably nearer to the South East.

They've been right about transfer in the past to be fair

He is certainly ugly enough for Wycombe

What’s Lewis Gordon like?
Tidy enough on the ball and quick, but very lightweight and lets wingers go past him too easily and rarely puts a tackle in. Some of our fans wanted to keep him, he might be one that goes on to prove the manager wrong but not currently good enough for L1 so L2 may suit him better.

Always seems to have a very poor game against us, I think it was the season before last when he had one of those games where the ball just wouldn’t come under his control and he got a roasting from the home fans which he couldn’t handle.

A full back who can't defend, the Chesterfield FC calling card

Yeah pretty much. He lost his place to a Chelsea loanee who we had playing out of position. Good luck to him though hope he does well for you guys

If I ask nicely can we be a decent club in the South East?

Doubt we could afford his wages to be honest.

You've summed him up to a tee. I don't think I've ever seen him make a tackle . But is not bad going forward.

Yeah he seems to stand off too much and either lets the winger go past him or get a cross in. Still young enough to improve though.
I did see some potential in him like I did with Marc Bola, and Bola did alright for himself

Steve Evans has been ordered to go away for a week by the Chairman, presumably to stop him lining any more players up.

SE did say there should be another signing announce in the next 1 or 2 days and he sounded quite excited about it. Hope it's a winger!

Liam Kelly signed from Coventry.
I'm worried about his age (34) and his chances of picking up injuries.

Coventry fans though seem to love him and think he will be brilliant for us!

Sometimes you just have to trust the gaffer's judgement and hope it works out.

Goog signing IMO - Amazingly he is still our record ever signing, our previous owners paid Bristol City £200k for him back in 2016, he played one season in League Two and managed to get out after we got relegated to non league.

Signed for Coventry and stayed there until now.

Rotherham will smash this league. They will get the wins at the likes at Exeter or Bristol Rovers

Rotherham have panic bought their entire squad already and we're not even in June.
