Northampton fans, what’s Max Thompson like?

We’re being linked with him and think you had him on loan last year

Ah, the Stanno consolation signing...
Was a pipe dream to be honest, we wanted him to return but there is more chance of us getting Lisa Stansfield to play for us this season, career wise would have made no sense for him to drop to L1 no matter how much affection he has for the club.

Can see up to 5 going before Friday. Some decent players who would get a game elsewhere in lge 1/2 wont even get on the bench.
Plus i think one or two Surprise names might be off if the offers are right.
Inbound will depend on who goes but i think it will be one perhaps two decent loan signings if anyone is to come in.

It's nice for the first time in years to go into deadline day feeling like we don't need to make signings. We may still do business but would expect us to be looking at players on loan to be back up options.

Same for us, business in is basically done though might still be a chance we could add one more. Big squad of players for us with only one loan in which is a big turnaround from past seasons. Financially it means we must be near to our limits, even with the investment continually coming into the club.

Wonder if we might see one or two leaving on loan before the window closes. More importantly, we need to keep the likes of Erhahon, who is a standout and would take crazy money (seven figures I imagine) to sell him and our other better players because we are still a selling club if the price is right and our model to improve players for profit.

Not too much footage around on Cadamarteri but from what there is, he seems a slightly different profile to Joe Taylor. Not as quick (no slouch, mind) and looks to be a physically stronger more involved in the play. Clearly rated at Wednesday with being so involved with them in the second half of last season.

I think one thing we do have going for us is that Clubs are aware that in our time in L1 we've seen some decent attacking players come in, get game time and develop further - Joe Taylor, Brennan Johnson, Morgan Rogers, Morgan Whittaker and Liam Cullen (even if his loan spell was fairly flat).

Three seasons ago we had 7 loans at one point, which was pretty mental and this year it's our first so the Club have done what they said and looked to invest in our own players more.

From the BBC Lincs Sport report podcast last night, they seem to think that's probably us done both in terms of ins and outs but I'm not so sure. I still think there's a case of seeing Benn (loan or permanent) and Draper (loan) depart and we're perhaps one light in CM in my opinion and we were loosely linked to Callum Wright from Plymouth a couple of weeks ago.

Allegedly looking at Norwich’s young striker Ken Aboh with a view to a loan move.

Could be the next Defoe, or could be the next Muskwe - loans are so unpredictable.

We are apparently in for a couple of players (bids on the table) and have had ex-Man City youth Josh Adam training with us (allegedly). All information very sketchy though.

Expecting some players to leave before the weekend too.

Will Swan being mentioned around Crawley.

Too expensive for us I would imagine.

dembele and bacuna have now left as we expected. We move
Where has Bacuna gone? I've always rated him, would have happily had him here but imagine his wage demands are beyond us.

Gone to a Saudi team mate, dont think we have made much on him as he had a relegation clause. He was defo on more than 10k a week at blues.

I was thinking he'd be on £20k+ at your place after being on a good wage at Rangers.

Either way, he'll probably be on about £40k a week now.

We signed him under the previous owners and us laying out that was a lot, think it was more like the higher teens wage wise. He is set for life now with all that oil money

We’ve signed forward/ winger Amani Richards from Leicester on a season long loan.

Someone who ticks the ‘highly rated’ box. Hopefully he will make an impact but it’s nice to have another forward option available.

As expected, the Wrexham/ Will Keane bid was bollocks.

When asked if there was a bid received from Wrexham, PNE’s boss said: “Not as far as I know. I would not be believing what you read online. There are lots of stories out there. You want to be respectful to you guys, when you ask the question, because why wouldn’t you if it’s out there? But listen, the amount of people who are getting paid to produce that stuff as well is frightening. There was an offer from West Brom and that is it, yeah.”

Our name just gets thrown in for clicks.

It's a chance for fans of other clubs to go on about how we are annoying and a jumped up hobby club.

Faal looked rubbish when 5 or so games I seen him last season. Hopefully he was having off days.

Money.

Struggling to get in who we want, the financial demands are too much.

We’ll let DKD go last minute then magically get caught short in the transfer window, again.

Hopefully announcing Faal and Adam tomorrow by the sounds of it (announcement confirmed for 9am)

Unlike Dan I quite like the sound of those two. Players with potential rather than immediate first team starters but id rather that than someone coming for their last paycheck. Don't take up squad places either.

Finishes off our summer transfer activity nicely.

A little birdie chirped that we are signing Conor Washington 15 years too late, and the singer from Maximo Park.

Here's hoping we can apply some pressure before the window slams shut.
