Faulkner, Chaucer, Impish. I only read the literary masters with some kind of supplementary material, otherwise I simply don't understand their work.
Actually I find their work both enlightening and invigorating and very much on a par with my own highly developed intellectual level but this is a football forum so 'is that all you take away?'

It was 833 think the crowd was 5558

It wasn't. The crowd was 5,058 with 833 Vale fans as announced, bizarrely, at the game twice in the space of a few minutes. Think the PA guy was a little bit confused.

Wouldn't say 833 is anything to crow about VF16. Only 3 games in so it isn't like we are bottom of the league and it is a good away day. Compare it to 2300 from Grimsby and it is gash.
Though i do agree why anyone bothers is beyond me, totally inept again. Good to see the crowd get nasty towards Brown and Co at the end because we cannot put up with this much longer or it'll be Solihull Moors away next season.

I doubt they're staying up this season!

I always find it funny when fans of clubs who are doing badly in this league always say, "Carry on playing like this and this time next year we're going to be playing Leight RMI/Hyde Utd/Hayes & Yeading/North Ferriby Utd/Droylsden/Histon Utd/insert name of tiny club who are so obviously going to be relegated from the National League this season with a sub-30 points total so you won't be playing them in a league match next season anyway."

it's when we said "next year we'll be playing Lewes (anyone remember them?) in the conference. Then we actually did and the crowd was 598 :lac::lol:

Tickets for our game at Lincoln are now on sale. The game is this Saturday and all-ticket, giving fans four days to buy. Tinpot.

I stayed in an AirBnB flat next to their magnificent stadium.- great little town with a chilled atmosphere, plenty of pubs near to the architecturally impressive station and Glyndebourne just over the hill - be very welcoming to the highly cultured Mansfield and Grimsby hordes for one of those Footie / Opera weekends that we like so much...

They don't want you there - they have thousands of non-season ticket holders waiting to fill the away end.

And where has the Stevenage v Gy thread gone?

Lewes is a lovely town and the Dripping Pan is a unique stadium.
