Rag arse club. That is so funny coming from a Bury fan, especially one from Bolton of all places. If we are a `rag arse club" what does that make yours, a club with average gates in a potential promotion season with average gates 1500 less than a club who have been relegated, and a ground hidden up a side street next to a cemetery with a main stand that looks like it was build in the 1930s? And actually I don`t remember that but what I do remember is 6 visits to Wembley, including a major cup final, 4 FA Cups Quarter finals, a League cup semi final, knocking Premiership teams out of Cup competions for fun and 11 years in the what is now the Championship, including 3 Play Off seasons. Not bad for a "Rag Arse club" huh

So by your definition you're one of the "bandwagon" fans then? You know, the ones who only start getting involved when a club starts doing well.

Couldn't give two fucks about average gates matey, Man City were pulling in 28,000 a week in the third tier but it didn't make them better than shitty Bury who played in the league above them.

Anyway, your crowds are shit for the size of the catchment area Birkenhead has. You've obviously got issues about getting relegated but I'm sure you'll bounce back.

As for the dig about our ground, you're close with 1930. It actually dates back to 1924 when we were one of the biggest clubs in the country. Means fuck all now, bit like all that stuff you've just spouted about your glory years. Been and gone pal, been and gone.

Considering we took 3,000 to Stockport (average home support circa 5,000 that season) to watch us stay up one year, I don't quite get what the fuss is about.

For what it's worth, I hate the idea of anyone outnumbering us at home, but considering we're already down, and lots of us (me included) are sacking this one off, I'd give Bury as many tickets as they want.

So bitchy. Don't worry Tranmere. If you have a good season in the conference it's far more enjoyable then struggling in league two. Away to southport or dover isn't much difference to accrington and Dagenham to be honest. I've enjoyed this season more then ever. Just hope it's only this season in this league though

Bury fans should hope they are never near being relegated to the Conference or they wouldn't be talking like that... Good luck to Tranmere next season, too big to be down there
Talking like what?

No one had a go at Tranmere until that guy went all arsey calling us. Threw his toys out of the pram about away support.

Amen. Bury fans should be very careful what they wish for. Conference is great fun for a couple years, visiting not only grounds but towns you'd never have visited before with laid back stewarding and policing 9 times out of 10. I mean, seriously, who would go to Alfreton and Tamworth if it weren't for football! Tranmere will be back, just like Bury will be back near the bottom of L2 one day. Just the way it is.

As for arguing about not getting more tickets Bury fans - we've sold our away allocation 5(?) times this season, imagine how many tears you'd be shedding if that was you! We constantly clamber for more tickets but rules are rules and a no is a no, so I am sure you can put up with it for one day as its very rare you fill anything let's be honest!

Everyone have a go at the Bury fans instead of actually seeing who provoked the whole argument. It's fine

You're one of the biggest wind up merchants on this board, don't be so shocked when people start to play you at your own game!

If you had seen your club destroyed from within by an owner who didn't give an airbourne fornication for the club you have followed since childhood and who has done nothing but make budget cuts season after season until the club was made totally uncompetive even in this league (I mean he even tried to sell us on EBay FFS) forcing us to sign, for the most part, a bunch of lazy bastards who also don't care a crap for the club or for us you would be bitter too. Thank God he has done one into tax avoiding exile in Switzerland where he is undoubtedly doing what he loves best. Counting his millions and also that we now have a owner we trust to take us forward again

We've been there too.

Good luck next season. I never like watching a local club go out of the league.

We went through similar at Carlisle , I know how it feels it's horrible. You are a similar size of club to us , sure you will return , sometimes you have to take steps back to take more steps forward. We got.a new owner and two promotions and should have a third . Sure Tranmere will be back stronger,

Anyone got the final season averages? Imagine all quite inflated after today's fantastic followings by most clubs ( ourselves included )

Full away end at Prenton Park so around 2,300, none in the home ends as was being branded about on their forums.

There was, you can see on videos when the final whistle went taken from the home ends, quite a few cheers

There were 3 sitting near me in the JKS. As soon as they scored, they gave themselves away and were evicted by the stewards in a matter of seconds. Bit unfair really as they were not exactly the "rent a mob" types that seemed to inhabit most of the Cowsheds (where did Bury get so many knobheads from as I have never seen that many in my many visits to Giggs Lane, a ground I have always considered to be quite placid?). 2 guys in their late forties and a woman, but the rules are rules .Other than that didn`t see or hear any at all.
