And a copuple of hundred missed the kickoff with the tinpot organisation from Macc, I can hear the Oldham fans laughing from here!!!
So are they included in the 932 or not then.

prob not but who the hell knows with that organisation

I was at Macc for the Lincoln game earlier this season- not sure what your SLO is like but we all knew in advance Macc had a reputation for taking an inordinate amount of time to process "on the day" sales and had prior notice from LCFC to get there very early if you wanted a ticket on the day.

It isn't great when bureaucracy prevents us from watching the game

Could you not buy In advance? Maybe their mistake was allowing sales on the day

This happened to us at Halifax a few years ago, 1700 GTFC fans there and they only had 1 turnstile open, around 5 minutes before kick off they finally decided to open another one as the queues backed all the way into the street and round the corner. Loads of ours missed a decent portion of the start of the game which actually made them the lucky ones as we were 3-0 down after half an hour. :bg:

only seats in advance most stood as we dont get the chance very often
Yes that does seem tinpot. Reminds me of some of our Conference days when we would regularly turn up to find one turnstile open, with the home team seemingly suprised if we took more than a couple of hundred. Perhaps they have been down there too long.

Is that right? Only seats in advance? The away seating at Moss Rose only holds 400 or so. That means over 500 turned up on the day at Macc to stand?

I don't doubt it was a nightmare to get in and Macc does have a reputation for this but seating and terrace were on advance sales

From your quoted artical
Disabled tickets are priced on an age-related basis.
Tickets for both seated and terraced sections can be purchased on the day of the game at Macclesfield Town. Advance tickets are also available as follows:

Terraced tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 01625 264686.

My bad- will teach me to read the full article and not half of it! I take it back!

How on earth did they give you only advance seated tickets? Only 35 miles between Bury and Macc!

No idea why standing tickets weren't on sale in advance, normally they are when we know the terrace will be needed. Pretty poor from us and again shows an inability to cope with a big crowd. Can't really blame the Bury fans who came in the home end, even if they acted like twats.

So do you believe we had more there than the official 932 then? Also how did they act like twats? I didn’t go so can’t comment.

I'd say the figure that was given looked pretty accurate give or take one or two perhaps. There were certainly at least a couple in the home end so up the total to 934 if you want. I think they all got taken round to the away terrace after not too long but I don't know how many there were - only a handful anyway.

The twattish element was just the standard aggressive drunk away fan kind of behaviour and nothing to lose any sleep over - let's just say one or two weren't too discrete about who they supported :bg1: - anyway it's entirely our club's fault for creating such a situation in the first place.

Anyone get the Oldham number at Stevenage (suitably embarrassed to ask about Oldham when the thread has progressed to Bury at Macc!).

Stevenage don't seem very keen to declare away end at all

544 Grimsby at Mansfield on Tuesday night.

Lowest I can ever remember us taking there.

And just checked it was 296 Oldham at Notts on same night.

Away tickets for Crewe are close to selling out. Any chance of getting anymore Crewe fans?

200 odd left and not on general sale until Monday.

Mansfield have sold out all their tickets for the game at Sans Sincil in two weeks time.

Pretty decent to have sold them as fast as we have, but given the win there last season and we’re unbeaten against Lincoln in a good 8 games or so maybe fans are expecting more of the same

Be most surprised if this isn't the first sold out game this season (home and away end)- Notts County early on in the season didn't quite have the frisson as they were fairly pants at the time.

Around 9,700 - will be a good atmosphere for this one
