What's the away end hold at Bradford? They've sent us 1100, hoping there's going to be more after that. We'd be looking at 2k for this one.

2,700-3,100.

Touched on this a couple of pages back. Sell your tickets and pay the additional second allocation upfront, and you’ll have c2,700. If you sell the initial allocation and request anything under the additional 1,500 - you’ll be left with what you’ve got - as per Oldham on the opening day.

Popped down here to have a look and you’re still banging on about attendances, nice to see.

We’ll be joining you soon xox

Seems a bit of a shit policy for a club probably looking at pushing towards 2k.

Attendances, or simply answering a question relative to away allocation at VP?

It’s a logistical nightmare to police. The additional 900 that you might sell, wouldn’t be worth opening up the entire stand - not forgetting an increased police bill - and an advantage to your team with fans being behind the goal.

The stand has stood like this for 2 years. It'll need a deep clean, sheets removed etc for little financial gain.

Unless Mansfield take every ticket, the 2,700 then it’s pointless the club going out of its way to accommodate them for the sake of a couple of hundred more. We’d probably actually lose a bit as well considering everything that would need doing to open the extra stand. The stand used to be open when clubs brought more than a coach load, but for the sake of one club a year and that’s dependent on them having a good season it’s a totally pointless exercise and no other club in our position would bend over backwards for a travelling club as we have found out a few times this year with crap allocations when the stadium is still half empty.

Walsall sensibly increased our initial allocation to around about 1500 to avoid daft queues on the day. Believe there’s 6-700 available for pay on the gate.

I know any team that only uses 3 stands are really, sign of the times I guess.

It’s a shame though, even understanding the issues with opening it up, bigger the crowd is always helpful.

Is it not possible to have an extra block in the side stand or anything? Does seem abit daft considering the ground holds 25 odd thousand but I get that getting the stand behind the goal sorted when it's only going to be used a couple of times a season is a waste of time.

It's a problem we have, the Bishop St side of the ground needs redevelping so we can accommodate more away fans when needed. Missing out on some £££.

When we played Sunderland the other year, they sold their 2,750 allocation quite quickly, which you would expect them too. We then allocated them half a block in the side stand in addition to the initial 2 they had already sold - hence the 3,100 allocation.

We have long-term ST holders in that stand. They used to be informed at the time of purchasing their ST’s that they might be asked to move stands should we anticipate a large away following. However, I don’t think this has happened since 2005/2006 (Wednesday, Huddersfield, Hull, Forest and Pompey spring to mind). Since then, our crowds have increased and away followings at VP have gone the other way.

Again, the club will open the stand behind the goal if there’s demand for it and if the money is paid upfront.

I genuinely hope you do fetch 2,500+, if we manage to pick up some form, we might manage 18k+ for this fixture.

It does seem odd and a shame the club doesn’t look at opening a block in the side stand (whereas i appreciate bradford ground and attendances are much bigger than ours) it’s not like they get close to selling out and would
make far more sense all round.

Of course there might be a logistical reason as to why that doesn’t happen, but on the face of it, it does look a tad backward.

I suppose from a selfish point of view my tickets already sorted.

I’m not sure the club will want to risk paying for the rest of the tickets - I do think 2k is possible but I’m not sure closer to three is.

We did take 3500 to Doncaster but it was tenner a ticket which helped.

It is I prefer bigger away followings this league is pathetic for them and it really effects the home atmosphere as well. But for a few 100 more it’s simply not worth it at best we’d get a few quid, but the stands a mess so we’d probably actually lose money.

People will say fans could move over and give an extra block that way, but they’re long standing fans who’ve always sat there. Why risk pissing them off for the sake of a few extra quid when we get around 2,500/3,000 pay on the day fans of our own every game anyway?

It’s just not logical for us to do it, this club is run terribly, but it’s one thing I’ll agree with them on. No club has put themselves out this season to help us, so we shouldn’t be doing so for anyone else for little gain.

Right on that clip have a look at our injury time equaliser and as we score it look in the top left and you’ll see loads of people jump out of their seats in your home end.
Well guess what, those are not Bolton fans all celebrating Grimsby’s late equaliser, and one of them is me.

I’d always had you down as one of the very few Bolton fans on here with a bit of intelligence, I was obviously wrong on that one.

Ahhh, apologies for bursting your bubble but you will indeed see fans in the top left celebrating.
That would be case for almost every game that season when the opposition scored.

The reason being - That very top left corner was the away seating section.
If you look closely below that, you’ll see a terrace section and then a segregation barrier.

That bottom end of the Burden Terrace was used as an away section depending on the opponent and their followings.

If you look below at the picture, you can see what I’m referring to. The segregation barrier goes all the way up to the top.

Bradford is sold out, club says they have requested more so see what occurs. Suggest a big demand to sell out before even a full working day.

I don’t think we’ll sell 2500 but will get close to 2000. Depends if Bradford demand we have to pay upfront for the whole stand or not.

Christ on a bike I will try and say this in simple terms to you again in basic English as you seem to be unable to actually read, we were BEHIND THE GOAL, not in the side stand, I said this in an earlier post ffs, we are just to the left of the goal on the clip as we score, which is three rows up behind the goal in the BOTTOM section to the left, I was sat there, we were all sat in the third fourth and fifth rows up, about 30 of us that all went on the same coach from the Appleby’s family lounge, in your home end behind the goal, and we celebrated the equaliser.
You can see this clearly on the clip but you are obviously choosing to just ignore it as you are trying your best to annoy me.
I’m not wasting any more time trying to explain this to you after this as you can clearly see us celebrate the goal while the rest of the stand (Bolton fans) stay sat down.

Edit: Here you go this photo should help you and if you still don’t get it after this then I give up:

In fairness the club allowing 4 tickets per STH was a curious move.

Oldham (a) - 1,000 sold from 2,502 allocated

Decent result at the weekend and I imagine the remaining will sell next week.

Stand holds 3600 so there should be more if you need them.
Should be a good gate and atmosphere.

I think 2,500 will be enough, tbh. We’re dog shit and fans are losing patience with the club.

Did wonder how that managerial appointment would work out, if you weren’t sat at least top 7 the style of football and his manner wasn’t going to work with a large demanding fanbase..

apparently been given another 950 odd.

Bradford don’t seem to haft thought out the away capacity situation very well at all, rather the farce when they’ll be 10,000 empty seats
