Seen a few are fans on twitter saying they think we will only get 750 tickets for Wrexham away as they are doing some work.to the stand before it returns to 1100 later in the season, is this true? 1100 won't be enough for most teams in this league but 750 is like Harrogate levels of tinpot. I respect tickets will also be hard to come by for home fans aswell, none of the less it's going to suck that so many fans miss out, giving we haven't visited the Racecourse for so long.

Think it’s more like 500 until the new stand is complete.

Last time I saw that end it definitely didn’t look like it would be completed before the end of this season (I stand to be corrected on that), but it’s understandable during any ground upgrade.

It will be ok as with your massive away following you will be able to beam it back live to big screens at the Mornflake.

Does that mean the entire attendance is gonna be capped at 5000 or 7500 (depending on whichever figure is correct)? Pretty sure they can't allocate 500 away tickets and then have 9000 home fans in there.

Annoying though, was hoping to get to that one. Probably got no chance if they're lopping 500-700 off their allocation.

Not sure Crewelad is talking about the new stand here. We had the full 1100/1200 (can't remember the exact amount) last time we went there and the new stand was being built then.

When did you last play them? Fairly sure during their tv cup games last season the Kop end had been completely demolished awaiting the actual rebuilding of it

Away end holds 1100 or so, then when the kop is built, large away following will resume behind the goal. Anything less than 1100 then i'd imagine they would put you on the side. 750 is the initial allocation which is the upper tier, but if demand is there, then we'd open the bottom tier.

Be nice to see a full away end quite often, rather than 100 or less or so from whatever team we'd play in non-league.

Last time we played Crewe in the league was 97, and last meeting was at Gresty Road in 2004 ish in the league cup.

You're correct. Old kop has been demolished, land flattened all teh way to the road, 3 out of 4 floodlights have been replaced. I've heard there was an issue with the 4th light, which has held things up. Target was 1st June to start building after the Kings of Leon gig but not happened due to the 4th floodlight issue.

I've read that work is starting on the 4th light this week, removing the old pylon and the mound it sits on, reposition the new one.

Playoff semis in 21/22, the Kop was completely covered up and out of use then and I could be wrong but I think it was for most of that season? If there's an allocation restriction due to works, I'd imagine it's temporary works on one of the stands currently being used.

They failed to sell out at Mansfield last time, don’t care how shit you are that’s just abysmal.

They took about the same Grimsby did last season but that was on a Tuesday night!

Was a dead rubber 3 days after we'd been taken 5000 to Brighton as well, should be a sell out on Boxing Day if the weather/trains allow it.

If a club can’t offer accommodation for 2000 away fans they should remain/cast back down to non league.

Its the very definition of tinpot!
Sadly, we don't quite get to offer that amount until the new kop is built, so tough luck!

Shaun Harvey has said the stand behind the goal will go back to away fans eventually, but can't do much at the moment except chuck you in the corner.

Would you bring more than 750 to us?

Kop wasn't used EVER in our Conference era believe it or not. It closed down in 2008.

Most teams in the league will get the 1200 or so that you got in that playoff match. Tinpot clubs will only get the bottom of that stand that you were in.

I don't believe away fans will ever return to behind the goal, even though Harvey once said that is the plan. We simply have too much home demand to give teams an entire stand.

Probably. Early season, still a whiff of optimism about, not pissing down (hopefully).

That stand behind the goal makes a right racket so it'd be a bad move to relinquish that in my opinion. You'll have to give more away tickets out to clubs that want them once the Kop is done though as the current allocation will fall under the 10%. I'd guess you'd just give more blocks in the current stand away fans are in or move over the away section over to the stand opposite? I quite like the current area for away fans. It's probably the best I've been in in the lower leagues for atmos/view in terms of being shoved to the side of a side stand.

Probably give them more of the current area I would imagine. The ones behind that goal now will no doubt move to the new Kop as that's where the noisiest fans were historically.

That new stand needs building ASAP and needs to be done by next August.

In the conference years we sat in the upper block on the side. I don’t think we ever had any seats in the lower block. That lower block was always empty.

Before the conference days ( we both were relegated in 2008) we used to sit behind the goal in the upper area when in League Two.
I would imagine we would easily sell out if we were only given 1100 tickets.

We were always given the stand behind the goal at Wrexham in the conference days, and always enjoyed being in there. Could create a brilliant atmosphere. Will be a shame to be on the side, as i've no chance of getting a ticket.

Same as the new found Wrexham fans, they don't stand a chance. We now have 7000 season ticket holders in a 10k capacity stadium, give or take 1200 for away fans, which doesn't leave 10000 members much chance of bagging a ticket...

Can't see you getting behind the goal now, back when you were in NL with us, we could host all of you in that stand and we'd have enough space in the home ends haha.

Did the police not push it for safety reasons?

Sure they did, but don't think the club would give the stand behind the goal, seeing as both Rob & Ryan want every seat sat on, so if it means restricting away fans to allow more home fans, then sure the Police can do a job if needs be.

Even if they have the common sense to keep you in for 10 mins after FT to allow the home fans to disperse from the ground, but then again this is NWP finest at the wheel.
