Having been at the game, I’d say 500 wasn’t far off at all.
The section for away fans was full well before kick off, requiring a ‘panic’ from the stewards to remove the netting to open up two additional sections.

Have to say the stewards were warm,efficient and in good humour ( unlike the home fans!)

Agreed, definitely not more than half your 900 looking at the blocks; was the 900 official? I’d say 400 - 450. Maybe go with 425.

We’ve played them on Tues night for past few seasons and fetched 900-1000 three times.

About par for us for a two hour Tuesday might trip. We pushed to 1,200 for Gtr Manchester area in the NL when doing well.

That extra hour kills off half the support as it means leaving work early.
