We were quite poor yesterday by all accounts. It was a dull game that was always going to be decided by a set piece and so it proved. Annoyingly we switched off to allow Matt to score....

We had one decent header saved and Bowman hit the crossbar from distance but otherwise created little.

Still think we need another striker. Forte is struggling and Bowman doesn’t look like someone who will score 15-20.

Two big home games coming up against Cambridge and MK....

Haydn White has a suspected broken ankle which would be a huge blow.

Refs fault completely should of cooled things down before their idiot nouble went crashing in and making a shocking challenge that didn't even get a yellow.

Massive loss for us. But a great result and a team that has the we're still going to win no matter how many you score attitude

To be honest pal, it’s a football forum.

You’ve always come across as a bit of a loner - so much so that you’ve 2 profiles - tragic.

But if your life has descended into trying and failing to belittle another poster then I do actually genuinely feel for you.

Have you considered the Samaritans? They’re a good bunch who can help folk like you, if times are tough then can give you a hand. I appreciate that following notts must also cause depression.

Go and have a talk with them, maybe get a brew and a biscuit.

Nice little rant . I’ve clearly upset you.

I apologise for calling you dumb Adam . It’s just that you regularly put such dumb comments on this forum . So often you are either plan wrong and it gets highlighted or you provide the perfect contradiction all by yourself ! Recently you produced two absolute pearlers not that you would of spotted it or realised haha

Again I’m sorry for calling you Dumb , maybe just dumb when it comes to football

To end on a positive note , sounds like you have personal experience with the Samaritans I assume either as a volunteer or someone who has benefited when calling . I’ve never used them but I hear nothing but great things . A very valid and worthwhile charity . However I’m not sure even being in the conference will result in my calling them for help . It’s just football after all

Wasn't there but did well by all accounts with a few saying he was our best defender.

Been a while since we've had a huge beast of a defender who's also half decent. Hopefully he's the man. Look forward to seeing him play on Saturday.

He's also pretty quick on his feet for his size. Good all round CB that's for sure. I'm pleased for the bloke.

His distribution depends on the game. At times he's like Scholes picking out players, next thing you know he can't pass to the player next to him and gives away a throw in

I see the Sodje's have been messing about.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-46946503

Is that why Efe suddenly disappeared at Macc?
Actually it wasn't, this fraud case has all come up since he left us. He was sacked from Macc for swearing at another member of staff or something like that, although it was decided after a court case that he had been wrongfully dismissed.

FGR v Grimsby tomorrow then. Spanked them in this one last year, but I'll gladly take a return to our regular smash and grab 0-1 instead. To be honest, I'd snap your hand off at a point. Can't see us getting anything from this but you never know.

Could do with a Grimsby win to keep the gap between us and 7th at 4 points.

Unscheduled presser called for 4pm today. Can’t remember the last time we had one of those.

Must be the Mongolian government finally buying Tranmere and announcing Carlos Tevez as backup for Norwood.

Any reason for Northampton vs Morecambe being a 2pm KO on Saturday?

Still own one of his bandanas he gave to me after Vale away in 2002 the absolute gent. The peak definition of a boom or bust centre half.

Will never forget us, in 2nd, playing top of the league Wigan at home. Biggest game of the season up to that point. Efe abruptly beheads one of their players and gets sent off in the first 10-15 minutes. Couple of months later plays against England and Argentina in a World Cup. They were fun days as a Crewe fan.

Salford have called an 11.30am press conference about their ownership so I'm assuming Oldham won't be too far behind appointing Scholes.

Yeah, he should have been sent off for that tackle, was a shocker. Ref lets him off with a yellow, then he makes a silly foul as you say a few minutes later and off he goes.

He was a cult hero at the Alex, but never quite forgave him for costing us that game and a chance to push for the title.

Beckham is taking 10% share so guess he is ‘buying’ ginger nut out. Although I guess it would be no shock if he sells them back to him if and when scholes gets the sack or gives up management :pond:

Anyone else have their Club Shop run by Andrea-Carter Sports?

We've terminating our agreement with them and going with another Company from 1st February. They were terrible at keeping the Club Shop items in stock and stupidly slow delivery. I'm not sure whether it was all their fault or partly Errera (who we've also extended our deal with until 2023).

Interesting info from price of football on twitter after Chesterfield released their accounts. The wages graphs don't show all clubs as he says many of them use legal loopholes to avoid showing the info.

Our borrowings are purely from directors keeping the club afloat whilst majority shareholder Norman Hassall takes out £1.3m "loans" from the club. Awful man.

Those turnovers are incredible. They’re all so much lower than ours so I can see why Palios is so confident we can mount a title challenge next year.

With this year fixing our debts we will have a very good budget next year.

Old turnovers to be fair, and it’s not the greatest barometer to use either.
