We're usually much higher than that, so it's nice to see we're trying to balance it more at last.

Colchester away this weekend. Its not often we go into a game not being favourites but the bookies have backed Colchester to win and given their recent run and form thats understandable. I feel we’ll give a good account of ourselves though and recently we seem to have been able to pull off wins when not really firing on all cylinders. Hard fought game and I think if we take a point it’ll be considered a reasonable result at the end of the day

We’re playing Walsall. We’re on a 1 match drawing run so slightly the more in form side. Bad news is both our first choice wing backs are out for a while, good news is Chris Stokes is in line to make his second debut and George Williams could play some part.

Need to start winning again at some point, so why not start tomorrow.

Shirley another defeat for FGR will force Vince into action, and that is calling a cab for Cooper?

Quite a few decent/respected/crap/overrated managers out of work at present. Like Calderwood (shudder), Hurst and Warnock. Ian Evatt as well :shifty:

Can’t see it. Club highlighting how young our squad is and coming out with taglines like ‘Believe in the process’ makes you think we’re sticking to a long term plan.

Cooper still got a year left on his initial 5 year deal, and Vince tends to be pretty patient.

Scunny away tomorrow - one of the few grounds I've been to more than once. I don't think I ever saw us score there. I've not checked, but I'm sure our record there is appalling as well.

That has to change sometime.

I really wouldn't be surprised to see the game follow the same pattern as all of our games recently. We will dominate the ball and miss countless chances, our defenders will then fall asleep and concede a couple of goals in the space of 5 minutes and we will lose.

Oi, less of that defeatist attitude. You’ll win. Up the Iron. :bg:

He’d be well advised to bin Cooper off before we turn up in a week. Otherwise I’m sure Ross Embleton and the travelling army will be delighted to reacquaint themselves with that charming fellow.

Can’t understand why Exeter are 3/5 at home to Stevenage. Stevenage are woeful and Exeter reserves beat them in the checkatrade convincingly a few weeks ago.

We are most likely going to have to play our backup CB at LB again today due to injuries, hope Cheltenham don't have a good RM

1 point in 9, Stevenage are pants allegedly, surely a home banker, getting a bit paranoid about all the bottling comments. No, we will be fine........where is the Chivas Regal to get me through the next few hours !!

Our backup CB continues at LB and our overweight useless CB Andy Butler continues to start, loss incoming again

Colchester very good going forward, our left-sided CB Sawyer is suspended for 3 games and as a result their right winger Harriott is ripping us a new one as we try to re-organise ourselves

Winning at half time at home, been in this position so many times and thrown it away. I beg today isn't the same as normal

Entertaining half between two mid-table looking sides at TNL, great turn out from Walsall in the away end too. We've forced more saves and had one off the inside of the post but would say Walsall have looked a bit more dangerous around the box without that final ball. Didn't realise they've got a player called Saddler, fated to play for them.

Dear oh dear. Went behind to a pen which looked the right decision but right on the edge of the box and no need to try the tackle, now two down after a poor bit of control was seized on by Walsall then lovely run and finish from their lad.

We’ve let our winning position fuck off down the drain late on, as per EVERY FUCKING WEEK.

Pulled one back but way too late and passed up about three other golden opportunities. Fair play to Walsall, they deserved that, much as we had a hand in both their goals.

Well it was an awful game but we won which is great. Cheltenham didn't really test our keeper and we didn't test theirs.

Well that was probably the worst game I've ever seen. Only player on the pitch with any sort of quality was van Veen who was a handful all game. Going to try to be positive and assume half our squad is still suffering from a bug that's been going around. It's either that or they've all forgotten how to play football.

We finally won an away game after I don't know how many months. Not a lot to say on the match; it was poor one, and of course, a big part of that was down to that awful pitch that Newport have got to share with the rugby clubs.

I see FGR were beaten again on home soil. I'm all for sticking with your manager when results are poor, but there's always a limit and 4 losses in the last five games is just that.

That first half was as entertaining a half as I can remember for some time. Going in 3-0 up helps, of course, but Plymouth were very dangerous too and it was a good half of football all round really. They were tidy on the ball but completely all over the place at the back and our pace in attack really tore them apart.

We pressed well, forced their defence into quite a few errors and once the first goal went in they seemed completely rattled. It's fine margins, though - they could easily have scored a couple before we made it 1-0 and it's an entirely different game. If it was 2-2 after about ten minutes or 5-3 at half-time I don't think it would have been surprising.

We scored three, hit the post, hit the bar, had a couple off the line and at least two very good one-on-one chances missed, but Plymouth will wonder how they failed to score. We do play so much better when faced with a side that wants to attack us, we just need to learn how to break down teams like Morecambe who are happy to sit deeper. It's so frustrating that the same side who were so appalling at Cambridge last week can turn it on like the opening 45 today though.

what you talking about Vanni ; if you were a Grecian in times gone by then 4 losses out of 5 homes would've been but a scratch........our Black Night (sic) also considered himself 'inVinceDaleble'
