We're not very good at home. We struggle to break teams down, confidence goes, we start to play too safely passing sideways and backwards, and then make stupid mistakes and gift goals.

Walsall played us exactly the same way everyone does. Keep it tight, press us into mistakes and then let us pass it around in front of them. We missed some sitters (again) but we're too easy to play against. Maybe if we actually start showing some urgency earlier in games we might score first for once. Would really help I think.

Lots of calls for Cooper to go. Will it happen? I expect if it does it will be in the summer. If not what I definitely think will happen at some point is an experienced assistant will come in, don't think the Cooper/Matt Mills thing is working.

Don’t worry, we’re entirely incapable of shutting games down. We’ll try to dominate the ball, not finish our chances and then leave ourselves wide open at the back. That home win’ll be in the bag by half time.

If you like missing sitters and leaving gaps at the back that game will be a good laugh. Two teams trying desperately not to score whilst at the same time gifting away easy chances at the other end.

That sounds like the perfect recipe for a game won by an own goal.

Probably the best game I have seen at TNL, at least for entertainment value, was one where both teams just attacked each-other relentlessly but didn't over do it on the defending bit...that was a few years ago on New Year's day against Torquay and it finished 5-5. We had played them on Boxing Day and lost 4-3, in a game that was 0-0 at half-time.

Bit like the game at our place. Except this time there will be away fans.

We finally won an away game after I don't know how many months. Not a lot to say on the match; it was poor one, and of course, a big part of that was down to that awful pitch that Newport have got to share with the rugby clubs.

I see FGR were beaten again on home soil. I'm all for sticking with your manager when results are poor, but there's always a limit and 4 losses in the last five games is just that.
Oi not yet, leave that real pleasure to us on Tuesday.

I was there. How many did we bring, 300 was it? Expect you'll bring 7-800? Leyton is slightly bigger then Nailsworth tbf.

He’d be well advised to bin Cooper off before we turn up in a week. Otherwise I’m sure Ross Embleton and the travelling army will be delighted to reacquaint themselves with that charming fellow.

Think Coops has got bigger things to worry about then a few angry cockneys shouting at him tbf. At least Embleton's one of the few managers in this league who doesn't seem to know how to stop us. Should be good fun, if you go in front everyone in the ground will be having a go at Cooper.

Pulled one back but way too late and passed up about three other golden opportunities. Fair play to Walsall, they deserved that, much as we had a hand in both their goals.
I thought we probably just did enough as the away side to deserve the win mate not our best performance either but a much needed 3 points.

Any Cheltenham fans planning on making the trip up to Carlisle on Tuesday night, I’d change your plans. The match will be off.

I did Carlisle on a Sunday afternoon once and that was disappointing enough. No way I'd do it on a Tuesday

Doesn’t look like being postponed after all, which is staggering considering the pictures I saw of the surrounding areas last night

Well hello.

Southend at home for us on Saturday and it could be the match that pretty much reveals who the worst team will be this season...

it will either be 0-0 or 7+ goals...

Nil nils are usually those eagerly awaited top of the table clashes.

So for this one I'll go 7-0 to Southend.

if that happens you'd best hope they still don't have fans in when we play you early October.

Im not worried about Barrow.

Even if we still are the shittest team by then. The occasion will be too much for you and I can see you crumbling, fans or no fans.

7-0 to Southend is 350-1 on BetVictor, but 10-0 Southend is only 200-1 on PaddyPower. Weird.

Not sure I'd lump on either tbh.

Carlisle will not have a better chance to get 3 points than Saturday.

We have 42 days to pay £493k or we're bust. Still under embargo so that's one relegation spot sorted

We had our Winding up hearing today. We have made partial payment we still have a debt of 493k to be paid by 28th October so hearing was adjourned for now

Would imagine embargo still in place so likely we are relegated as our squad is nowhere near enough.

Macclesfield have been wound up.

Its a shit place to be.....Southend are where was at 18 months ago..Lucky enough we got investors
Doubt we would today.
I think Wigan are going to struggle and Further up the food chain the are teams that owe amounts that they can never dream of paying back,

Hopefully we can raise the money but unsure if Ron would entertain outside investment he seems to want to deal with this completely on his own.

Of course not. Doesn't want anyone muscling in on his long-game megaprofits from the land sale of Roots Hall.

Strange one really. The council have guaranteed the future of the club by confirming they will pass the the plans with 500 houses they just need to be submitted. If this really is the case then if the club was really starring down the barrel of a gun then you would think it wouldn't be hard to find an investor as there is some serious cash to be made. The club going belly up is not in Ron's interest as he would kiss goodbye to 10+ million his other companies are owed by the club. Surely it makes sense to lose a % than club go bust and get sweet fuck all. He must have some sort of plan to prevent it getting to that.
