Oddly we’ve won 3 times in our last 6 visits to Exeter but always feels like we’ve been shit there. Actually a half decent record there!

Sure it was Exeter where their fans attacked the referee after we got a winner late on in the early 90s and of course qualified for Wembley for the first ever time there in 93 in the Autoglass (maybe the same game?)
It was at our place. Never seen anything quite like that before or since at one of our games. The referee was beyond abysmal that night. Obviously not saying what happened should have happened mind

I cannot comment as i have not stood on a terrace for over 25 years.
I was brought up as a kid on the terraces....it certainly was not fun.

Well i have stood on terraces for over 60+ years (apart from being in the stand for 4 years over 10 years ago ) and still love it. There are far too many new grounds that are souless and polite clapping theatres. People who have stood together on terraces for years, surrounded by other people who have stood together for years suddenly have become lost and the atmosphere has nosedived.

Robert Del Naja AKA 3D (Massive Attack) has become our most recent investor. He's also becoming our artistic director, whatever the fuck that is.
I think I know what you're up to.

Train the players up as ballet dancers and you can get the fans in for a 'Christmas Concert' like at the Albert Hall.

probably means it's been there since they visited last season then - which makes the lack of a decent thorough clean even worse....

Plus it is a regular I go in and I aint seen it before lol

Think Evatt will be trying to get two maybe three in on loan this week.
Tom White joining Gethin Jones and Dennis Politic out long term. Add to Liam Edwards who has been out since last winter..........Unfortunatly to keep within numbers White may have to return to his parent club Blackburn

Our squad is also decimated with injuries. We only have one attacking player available to face port vale on Saturday and that is Lewis Alessandra. All of our wide players are out injured, one of our strikers Kayode is on international duty and the other Reilly is out injured.

Think on Saturday I’d be tempted to play a back 7 with 3 midfielders in front and just hope for the best.

We're fucked mate.

Too many injuries to a thin squad is going to keep us well away from the top half of the league all season, I just hope that we are still not as terrible as the likes of Southend and Barrow etc so we're not in a relegation fight.

Glad you’re wingers are out as despite the best depth we’ve had for years and years of the players injured we have lost both right backs and our right footed centre half who can cover is isolating after coming close contact with a Covid sufferer!

May need to try a rare 3-5-2 to get out of this one!

I have to say that, of all the hobby clubs infesting the top 5 divisions, you really are the ones that go the extra mile to be the biggest c*nts.

Can't deny Vince can be c*ntish at times and isn't exactly popular with some sections of our longer term fan base.

Not sure this is particularly c*ntish though, Massive Attack are pretty decent imo.

If only. By far my least favourite thing that Vince has done, I liked our old colours. The current kit is pretty distinctive though tbf, no chance of getting confused with Newcastle, Notts or Grimsby these days.

Not sure there's much way of 'making it stop' though, unless you know of any multi-millionaires willing to buy Vince out. There weren't many queuing up when Ecotricity took over. Heard Jed McCrory was another interested party, that would have gone well.....

We've got a nice (if zebra-style) black and white away kit this season, even if we've not actually worn it yet (hopefully on Saturday at Scunthorpe).

I think the "artistic director" appointment is actually pretty positive, but, well, to say the least, the evidence that Vince's aesthetic tastes are any better (if cooler) than those of that guy who owned Billericay is a bit limited - not just the horribly lairy bright green, but previous attempts to design "trendy gear" for the club shop have been barely short of hideous.

You're right there, some of the anyforty casual gear was horrendous. That Britain First style Lion was a particular low.

I'd quite enjoy weird poncey stuff like an artistic director if they had all the football and supporter side running like clockwork, but feels like that ends up on the back burner while we run after the latest shiny thing like a kid after too much pop.

Yeah that was the pits, but the shite nu-metal of "Jerusalem" that is "supposed to be" the club anthem (even if, with stunning originality, "Sweet Caroline" appears to have replaced it in practice) is barely any better, and as for trying to get people to call the club "the Green Devils"....

I think DV's detachment or semi-detachment from a lot of trad football culture has pros and cons (and probably more pros overall) , but occasionally he completely misses the mark. And that's before we get into the trying to attract Eco-friendly fans internationally while ignoring the concerns of some of the existing ones....
