As an outsider, I think I would be surprised to see him leave for the reason that I really don't think players want to leave you. Didn't you have 2 or 3 players that stayed post summer window despite not even being in the squad list? There is the money they're on that I'm not sure will be matched and in someone like Palmer's case, I think he really enjoys being Ollie Palmer, Wrexham FC with the profile it's giving players. Clothing brands, can't move for him on podcasts etc.

We've not lost anyone we actually wanted to keep since the takeover really. I think Palmer still lives down south and for that reason I think a lot of us have doubted whether he'd see his contract out. Whilst he is still decent I think we can do better and thought that in the summer.

Waters has gone on loan, McFadzean is still here but not registered to play. The rules mean someone is going to be leaving if we are to bring a striker in this week, it's not easy to shift people out when they are on a good screw.

I once went for the tenancy of a Punch owned pub. I knew the running of one was expensive but when I got the books to look over I couldn't believe how much it cost on a day to day basis. I gave up on that idea and went back into the Navy!

Other than the big foody chain pubs I do wonder how they survive.

I think there is a separate investigation into actual ownership of the club. At this juncture I've not really got a clue what's happening behind the scenes. But with that said this is now the second piece of 'admin' that we've been caught out on. The first was a transfer of shares that was done seemingly 'on the fly' which we got punished with, and now this.

It wouldn't surprise me if there are future misdemeanours found. There is an outstanding court case to see who ultimately owns the club.

I suppose the good thing for Swindon supporters is that the Disciplinary Commission took the view that the problems had been 'admin' rather than the club being unable or choosing not to pay.
