Ours would have been much higher if we weren’t so shite last season.
Morecambes transfer embargo has been lifted
Yeah there's been some movement with the Ownership stuff this weekGot to be somewhat of a relief for Morecambe that for now. Does feel unless there’s a change of owner Derek Adams is going to have to do a manager of the year type job to keep you up though.
I cancelled my NowTV at the end of the seaaon so don't have Sky so haven't seen this but I am assuming there is a ruggedly handsome fella in a Town shirt or something?Nice to see Son of CoD starring at the end of the new Sky+ advert

I really do hope they don't get the clubUnfortunately, there are more signs that Johal (and Kuljeet Singh Momi) are the potential buyer (of Morecambe).
“Successful conclusion” my arse, they expected to be way higher up the ladder by now instead of stagnating in this shite league.
Do they have a training ground now? I know on one of the TV series they were really struggling with that. The Salford experiment changed drastically and they only have themselves to blame it will now collapse.
When the income flower at Salford the long term plan was a professional club for local youth players to play at, proper training facilities and giving local players proper games to develop and move up ladder (always thought it would be a dodgy man United b team)
Then it became all about splashing cash on players and moving up ladder ASAP and it all got ditched.
Plus the issue that Wrexham may have down the line the interest in their tv aspects died a death and different clubs became more interesting so the new group of followers drifted away and crowds are probably where they were in conf north and conference days.
Club now has a ground they don’t want no real facilities and didn’t push local youth while money has dried up and interest dropped……they have problems question will be can they hold onto the precious league place it was losing that really kick started the death of rushden.

Thats the key isn't it, more traditional clubs with bigger histories/fan bases often come back, Wimbledon, Macclesfield on their way, Darlington all be it fairly slowly, Bury likely will when they sort themselves out but clubs like Rushden or Salford would just end up back at their natural level.I tend to use the Rushden and Diamonds comparison with FGR, but they had well over a decade in the Conference before Vince's money and could have potentially kept going at that level.
The Salford and Rushden similarities are far greater though. No real history at a level above regional divisions of non-league (Rushden Town in the Southern League and Salford in the Northern Premier League), then massive influx of cash and meteoric rise up the divisions. No foundation created whatsoever and no real hope of gaining a stronger fanbase.
It's telling that AFC Rushden and Diamonds have stalled at the regional division of the Norther Premier League since re-forming.
Sadly I'm not sure Darlington are going anywhere anytime soon. Didn't they just get relegated from the NLN?Thats the key isn't it, more traditional clubs with bigger histories/fan bases often come back, Wimbledon, Macclesfield on their way, Darlington all be it fairly slowly, Bury likely will when they sort themselves out but clubs like Rushden or Salford would just end up back at their natural level.
I expected Salford to go through to L1 level and possibly above purely on the money at the time they flew up to L2 but guess they just hit their ceiling and not winning every week probably will see their fan base dwindle further, all be it they seem to have actually had some rising in attendances but like on Saturday 1300+ of that is going to be away fans.
